One mis-timed facial expression from Nikki was all it took to send Spiral into a spin tonight. Wounded by Aisleyne's refusal to snog him earlier, the Irish rapper looked at the wrong face at the wrong time.
With Nikki sat on the sofa and Spiral stomping around, their eyes met and his anger was instant as he sensed a sneer:
"You making faces at me?" he barked. "Don't look at me with a smart face!"
"I didn't do anything," muttered a stunned Nikki, who headed straight to the toilet for a bawl.
Meanwhile Spiral headed outside for a chat with Mikey. "Who does she think she is to laugh at me?" he snarled. "She has no respect."
The Scouser sympathised, although he didn't see the alleged expression. After running through his past conflicts with Nikki as a sort of 'Mikey Handling Guide', he urged the Dubliner to chat to her tomorrow when she was sober.
Once Spiral had further unleashed his rage in the Diary Room, he locked eyes again with Nikki, who by now had emerged from her bathroom wailing session.
She calmly clarified: "I didn't mean to make a face... I'm very expressional. You didn't give me any reason... I don't have any amniosity (sic) feelings towards you."
His temper soothed by Nikki's sincere outpouring, Spiral tried to make amends: "I picked you up wrong... I really apologise from the heart," he murmured, "I regret everything I've just done."
Cue touching hug. Problem solved?
Let's wait and see if these events have any bearing on the upcoming nominations...
