Raahh that sounds tough. DD1 went away on her first school trip last Feb (year 4) and it was only for 3 nights and I was a MESS. An honest-to-goodness quivering, blubbering mess. Twas not a pretty sight. I would/will not be able to handle China. FFS she only went to York.

China he'll be absolutely fine. I bet it is amazing over there, really.

I would be in bits too. I drove DH mad when DS1 went to Malia with his mates. I texted DS1 about 500 times once or twice.
