Radio 4 Extra - the infiller presenters are not funny, why do they bother. It's embarrassing.

I love Radio 4 Extra but tend only to listen to it late at night. There is a coterie of infiller presenters including Arthur Smith, who are cringemakingly not funny, IMHO. Or is it just me?

I listen to it when I'm ironing so think I've missed them. I do like it though. I ought to like Arthur smith but I fear he is actually an utter shit!

im fairly certain that it's the job that radio 4 newsreaders that aren't Charlotte Green do in downtime. Cathy Clugston definitely does

Thanks for replies. To be specific, it's the late night Comedy Club programme introducers that I find the most cringemakingly unfunny.

I listen to it late at night to drown out the sound of DH snoring and I agree. I hate t when one presenter hands over to another and they try to be funny, so cringy. Wes Butters and Susan Rae are particularly bad.
