Starting tonight.

I liked Ripper Street before but with Damo in it I'm hoping to enjoy it even more. I do miss Hal.

I missed Reid's wife leaving. I thought they walked out of the orphangae holding hands when they found that girl wasnt their daughter.

muffinino82 · 28/10/2013 23:38

How did you all know this was on? I haven't seen one advert for it Hmm And what with Hal being in it, I am doubly displeased! Is it repeated at any point or do I have to brave the iPlayer?

I haven't see one trailer Angry Can't find any repeats so I'll have to crank up the iPlayer, at least we have that option so all's not lost. Thanks for the heads-up, Pumpkin, it would have completely passed me by if not for this thread.

LOVE Ripper St!

The prostitute that Bennet rescued from the snuff film was Rose, he was never married to her, he proposed to her and was turned down and then released the little canaries (that broke my heart a little). His wife is the prostitute he was met in the last episode but I have a feeling that Rose will make a re-appearance.

I too had some issues with hearing what Jedediah was saying, he has a wonderfully sleazy evil look about him though.

No idea who this Damian Moloney person is that everyone's going potty for, I googled him and he may actually be short than a garden gnome. I'll stick with the trio of tall boys thanks!

I don't think the BBC have advertised it very well, I've only seen one ad in the last three weeks.

I assumed you'd seen an ad so that's how you knew :p Wink I don't have Twitter but I watch a lot of BBC 1-4 so not sure how I missed them, but then I have been very preoccupied with Supernatural/Spartacus/Bates Motel catch ups lately so maybe that's a clue Grin

I'm only 5'1'' so I'll take him off your hands, thanks very much Grin

TheSmallPumpkin · 29/10/2013 14:09

He's 5'10" so just about tall enough for me. I think next to MM he may look tiny though.

OP posts:
squoosh · 29/10/2013 14:17

5'10" in his dreams!

I know actors, their official height is never their actual height. I'd say he's 5' 7" on a tall day. Perfectly suited for muffin!

muffinino82 · 29/10/2013 15:17

Perfectly suited for muffin!

I certainly think so Grin Although my RL DP is 6 foot

I thought the episode where the little girl turned out to be not their daughter was the last episode and that there has been a passing of some time (and events) between the series.

Ps His height has never been the thing I most notice about him Halloween Wink but then I'm only 5 foot 2

TheSmallPrint · 04/11/2013 13:43

Right, tonights the night. I hope I'm not disappointed.

Yes I could hear better this week although that could be because DH wasn't crashing around the room as normal. Hmm I like the idea that the programme makers have been on MN and listened to our constructive criticism. Grin

The actor who player Mr Merrick was very good I thought. Very sad though.

And not enough of DC Flint.

TheSmallPrint · 05/11/2013 09:29

Or Flight even Blush

waikikamookau · 05/11/2013 10:03

TheSmallPrint · 05/11/2013 10:17

I don't recall seeing it Schmaltzing.

RiffyWammal · 05/11/2013 15:49

I loved him as Hal, his voice is amazing, and his shirtless scenes were particularly well acted and gripping. Wink

I have never watched Ripper Street, but am now considering it! I watch so many series though that I'm not sure I can find time for another!

TheSmallPrint · 05/11/2013 15:54

Grin @ Riffy he didn't have a lot of the script last night but it appears that he is keeping his Irish accent - maybe softened a bit.

Ripper Street is good so having him in it is just a bonus!

TheSmallPrint · 18/11/2013 22:16

Oh Sad thought we were going to build that a bit with Evelyn but looks like a back story will be revealed...
