.....created by Joss Whedon. Anyone else going to watch?

Personalclown am really feeling the love for that Loki figure. Now, where to find £280. How many Christmas and birthday presents would that add up to, I wonder?
Did you tweet #ThorReturns?

Tee2072 · 28/09/2013 08:35

Well, considering it was created on the back of the hugely successful Avengers, I'd say the whole thing is a Joss link. Grin

I know, I was just being silly!

I think it was only those 2. Although knowing Joss, 'Agent Number 2 sitting at computer' was probably in something of his as well. Grin

Was it just me that thought it was a bit average then? I will watch it again next week, to see if I get into it more.

talkingnonsense · 28/09/2013 19:48

Shepard?

LaundryFairy · 29/09/2013 10:43

PersonalClown, how about a mini Loki to take with you everywhere?
shop.lego.com/en-GB/Loki-Key-Chain-850529

Bargain at £2.99 Grin

We all watched last night too and loved it. DS especially thrilled!

Loved it! So excited over 'robin sherbatsky' from himym Grin I adore her, then fitz/simmons funiness, then j August Richards (weirdly I remember his real name but couldn't remember what he was called in angel Confused) coulsen is 'alive' the new thor movie looks ACE I'm very happy Grin

talkingnonsense · 29/09/2013 12:08

Thank you- I recognised Finn, but I haven't seen firefly. Do you think joss knows Cobie through alyson Hannigan and alexis denisof (buffy) both being in himym?

talkingnonsense · 29/09/2013 12:08

Gunn, not Finn! Dyac!

SlatternismyMiddlename · 29/09/2013 13:11

I enjoyed it too - only criticism, the car at the end, felt like too 'back to the future' for me.

I will definitely be checking in next week.

Oh and I haven't seen Avengers Assembled yet, but am ordering it this week.

TheWinterOne · 29/09/2013 13:25

I've got avengers on my sky box. Still not got round to watching it but will try to at some point this week as by the looks it's a semi arc to a storyline in this. :)

Suddengeekgirl · 29/09/2013 14:42

As an aside... I went to see Rush at the cinema last night.

Chris Hemsworth.
Mmmmmmmmmmm

That is all. :)

SupermansBigRedPants · 29/09/2013 14:48

Avengers assemble is utterly fabulous because of rdj so heart stoppingly good I loved that film.

Sparklysilversequins · 29/09/2013 16:13

Haven't read thread as don't want spoilers but just starting to watch now and five minutes in am like Grin.

Beechview · 30/09/2013 10:41

Is this ok for 6yr olds?

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 30/09/2013 10:52

OMG I loved it! Grin

And the Thor trailer, god that man is hot. Blush

Beech it depends on your six year old. I wouldn't let our five year old watch it, the violence is pretty graphic for that age, and actually I'm not sure that a child that young would keep up with the storyline?

Beechview · 30/09/2013 11:12

My 8yr old is really keen to watch it and he's v sensible. His younger brother always wants to do the same as ds1(he's also quite sensible).
Dh lets them watch some stuff with him like The Hulk and Iron Man and they've really enjoyed it.

I think I'll watch it then decide.

Frettchen · 30/09/2013 12:13

Yeah, Lola at the end - was a little bit too much for me. As for the rest - it's definitely a Joss-style opening; lots of beginnings of things we're going to find out eventually.

The biggie being Coulson's not-death and Maria Hill and Shepherd Book (don't remember his character name) being all 'he doesn't know...' The top guess on the interweb at the moment is that he's a robot (or a LMD which stands for something sorta like Life Model Decoy) as they've been used a number of times in the Marvelverse, or the dead Coulson was a LMD. However that doesn't make sense to me, as why would he not know that? So I'm thinking (hoping) there's something more complex at work here.

I did love the references to the films - talk of the New York battle from Avengers Assemble, and talk of the Extremis injections from Iron Man 3, which were explained enough for new-viewers, but not completely rehashed for those already in the know with either the films or those who've read all the comic books (not me - am just a film fan... so far)

OodAlpha · 30/09/2013 14:17

I've not seen Iron man3 yet (hopefully tomorrow night as we have it from love film)

TheWinterOne · 30/09/2013 16:01

Iron Man 3 is ace! Personally my favourite out of all of the Iron man ones so far.

Trills · 30/09/2013 16:09

Coulson is... a hologram of himself and doesn't know it.

There's my guess :o

Trills · 30/09/2013 16:11

Or a robot, yeah, that would work :)
