Have the day off today so can sit and watch the tennis scores update.

I'm about twelve-fifteen miles outside London.

Long way from here then. Wind's definitely picked up. Still think we're along way off needing to be prepared for several days without power or water though.

road next to mine was on sky news today, tree was blown onto a house and set off a gas explosion.

looked out of my window this morn to see next doors cat flying over the hedge!! cat okay btw, but it was funny to see! its that windy here.

Not sure whattennis is going on this week. Will have to catch up and have a look.

Paris is on Sky sports. unfortunately so is ANdrew castle commentating!

and yes, only about 4 mins before he mentioned Tomics dad again!

Every time I see Tomic's name I think of his Dad now.

I don't have Sky so won't be able to watch. On the plus side I won't have to listen to Andrew Castle either.

Keep missing stuff this week- am trying organise myself, and suddenly ds's trip is far too close.

Forgot to say - caught a bit of the Cilic/Pot match. Thought Cilic played well considering he hasn't played since Wimbledon. Spotted Goran watching the match too.

Feds working hard. he only needs one match won to take him to O2.

do you think he REALLY wants to go? hed be really up against it there, the way hes been struggling this year.

I think he does really want to go, he seems pretty determined to keep on playing, and I have to say, the Basel final was a good match. His technique looked good (to me, the expert - not!), and his movement was also good. He looked r pissed off when he lost.

A couple of months ago I would have said that I thought he should retire when everyone remembered him as one of the greatest players. But now, he seems to have a new determination. Be interesting to see how the first few tournaments of 2014 play out for him.

I'd agree with you about Fed. Maybe that injury was causing a bit more of a problem than I thought. He's definitely looked better over the last couple of weeks. Number 1's probably out of the question but he might be able to get a few wins under his belt.

Thank you for the flowers Clay, very kind of you :) Things fine with ds now but more drama today thanks to my 37yr old brother who can do nothing without running to his mummy. In other words, I am in trouble with my mum!

Just jumping on quickly to tell you that, or the first time ever ever ever, I had what you might call an "interesting" dream . Good job dh can't read my mind and, boy, was I disappointed when I woke up?! :)
