Sons of Anarchy Series 6 episode 1 - Straw

Well everyone, the new series aired on FX on Weds night and I managed to, ahem, stream it this afternoon on internet, tried putlocker, but ended up via another route. Why should we have to wait til the new year -!?!?

Anyway, if any of you do get the chance to watch, do. It is, as usual, crushing violent in places and has a particularly shocking climax - there are reviews and spoilers all over the internet so be careful what you read.

We do, (yes, this is a spoiler, but in a good way!) get to see, er, a lot more of Jax in this episode, giving us some indication of what to expect in ' 50 shades of grey' - why is there so much criticism of him, have any of the critics actually seen him?

I'm thinking I might start from the beginning again - Young, clean, innocent Jax

So, the new and final season starts tonight in the US! I am beyond excited. I need my topless Jax fix! I need to have a sit down with the brothers! I need gratuitous sex and violence on my tv screen!

Does anyone know if it's going to be available in the UK anywhere but the usual pirate sites? It's ridiculous, the networks here really miss a trick with UK fans of American drama. They did the same with Breaking Bad FFS! They must lose out on so much revenue by not making these programs available to us straight away.

I re-watched the previous six seasons before indulging in the Final Ride!

There are only 5 episodes left...I don't think I'm emotionally strong enough to deal with this

SPOILERS FROM LATEST EPISODE

I have been watching and was disappointed in the first few episodes, but it's looking up now.

OMG I found the sex montage at the beginning HILARIOUS! Especially when it went to Wendy and I said to DH 'it should show her having a wank' and then the buzzing started lol - was surprised we weren't treated to the sight of Unser having a lonely tug in his caravan

Poor Juice though eh.

Can't say I was too sad about Bobby as I never liked him, the old creep. Does anyone else not like Abel? It's mean to think that about a kid I know, but it's that face he pulls...

I thought it was a bit ridiculous that Gemma vocalized a confession without checking if anyone was around, lazy writing IMO.

Nero is my favourite character now, I hope nothing happens to him. Jax has become quite an entitled arsehole and it's annoying how the others fawn over him so much.

But I still love SAMCRO despite all that!

That was a very imaginative start to the episode I really want Nero to end up with Wendy. Poor,traumatised,Abel,hearing Gemma confess twice.

I have thought the same about Nero and Wendy, Pink. I reckon Jax and Gemma will end up in jail/dead while Nero and Wendy live happily ever after on the ranch with all the kids.

I couldn't wait and got it on DVD in September. Watched the whole series in a weekend. Omg awesome. Am waiting for series 7 on DVD in March now, although you can get it on iTunes.

Does Kurt do fluffy endings Riffy? I wish he would. I don't remember what happened at the end of The Shield,which I'm going to re-watch after this.

Watched episode 10 of series 7.... Holy smoke could not watch the Moses eyeball scene!!!
This series is a bit hit and miss but finally the story is making sense and bits still fitting together. Juice still in prison getting high and being 'loved' by Marilyn Manson...Marks and Lin still enemies, Gemma highly unstable and Abel getting rather scary. I love, love, love Walton Goggins and think he deserves an Emmy for Venus...she and Tig are the best couple...ever.

As an aside, my daughter has just bought me a fab Jax Teeshirt to mark the end of 7 years....so finally I have Jax all over my chest..

I had forgotten to mention about Tig and Venus! OMG they are so lovely aren't they, I can't believe I didn't like Tig when I first began watching SOA. And I adore Walton Goggins for his name alone

Christmas ...he is the best criminal.... Great name, fab guy. And Timothy Olyphant is my other, er, passion.
I'm hoping Charlie Hunnam gets signed up soon for another meaty drama, he has been awesome in this...and I will miss his bare ass on the screen
What do we make of Chibs and Altea?? is Chibs the rat? All the reviews suggest it is Tig. Hopefully Venus will save him.
I think Wendy and Nero are the strongest characters but not sure it will end well, I sure hope so. I also love Unser and Chuckie, great characterisation. If someone is going to dead Gemma, who will it be??? If it is based on Hamlet then things look bad for Jax

That was the best and most powerful episode yet, guinea. I love the way they're not leaving loose ends. Have a look at the Digital Spy forum,where they discuss this at US pace. No fear of spoiling

Ooh will do, thanks for that. I love reading the US reviews the day after it's aired in the States(then I know when the horrible violence will occur!)....I actually cried when Jax and Juice confronted each other, it was fabulous acting...and the scene with Gemma and Nero was also a choker. 2 more to go. Presumably they will take out 'the rat' (got that wrong but actually was pretty obvious), and then it will kick off with Jury's Indian Hills Charter.
Loved it when Gemma said "I accept that" to Chuckie!!!

I'm in love with Nero. Please spare him,Wendy,and the kids.
