What a weird programme. What a great cast. What a range of accents. It's The Untouchables UK style! I don't know what I think of it but I keep thinking its called Tinchy Stryders

I thought this hadn't made much of an impact on me, but as I've just sat down, excitedly thinking it was on tonight and finding myself disappointed, I'd say I actually am a fan already.

I think it might be a bit of a slow burner, a bit like Boardwalk Empire. Te first episode clearly focused on setting out the scene, who the characters were, how they were all intertwined and what the situation was. I don't think it's a topic/group that most people would be familiar with so background was probably a lot more necessary than if they'd just been doing a WW1 drama or something. I hoping the plot picks up this week.

Oh and about the accents, I did at one point think they sounded a bit Scouse but it didn't really phase me or spoil it.

I'm from the East End of London, have a true 'cockney' accent and the amount of times I've heard that murdered on TV, or confused with the South London accent. Hopefully people will get over it and see that the accents are pretty irrelevant.

There was a true brummie in it though, did anyone else notice Benjamin Zephaniah as the street preacher?
