Usa drama about Norman bates as a teenager and events that turned him into a serial killer

given good ratings over there and always did like a bit of Psycho

I've seen the first half so far. The mother is awful!! It's alright for her to get laid but, not Norman!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/10/2013 22:27

I think she is a sex maniac - and that's why Norman suffers guilt over sex

Oooh, found the thread! Hi Blondes, I shouldn't be surprised to find you here as you have fabulous taste in tv like me! Grin

I love Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore, both great actors.

I think Dylan is actually the only character who isn't (completely) fucked up.

So once in every episode Norman has had 'discussions/conversations' with his Mother, but they are only in his head. He thinks they are real. He isn't unsaveable at this point, just needs therapy as his father was abusive. Such an odd relationship with his mother. Very well acted.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/10/2013 19:21

Waves to bear

We always appear on these thread [ grin]

I still wonder if Norma had sex with Norman

Young Norman? Not so far I don't think.

LittleAbruzzenBear · 21/10/2013 14:41

That was a great episode wasn't it. How are they going to explain it all to the police because bad cop wasn't in it by himself and the whole town is odd.

I think Norman has confused feelings towards Norma and she isn't helping matters with her behaviour. I like Dylan because he wants to take Norman away for a normal life. It's all going to go wrong......

Lighthousekeeping · 21/10/2013 14:52

Tbh I guessed it was him that killed the father. I love Dylan but I get the feeling he won't be around for much longer.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/10/2013 07:03

fab epsiode

so norman killed his father but blocked it out/thought he got up/walked inot garage and shelf fell on him?

I thought the mother was going to attack/betray the Chinese girl for stealing her man.

Lighthousekeeping · 22/10/2013 09:55

Do you think the Chinese girl managed to escape?

Nancy66 · 22/10/2013 10:13

it wasn't made clear was it? I hope so but not many people seem to make it !

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/10/2013 23:34

I hope she made it as well

Wonder how they are going to explain death of copper?

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/10/2013 19:08

i was a little confused why other copper was happy to cover up the death

poor doggy :(

wonder why and who the stranger in the motel is who wants to rent all rooms for cash

OP posts:
Lighthousekeeping · 28/10/2013 23:49

God knows but he's been in something before hasn't he?

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/10/2013 16:27

i thought so but couldnt place him

OP posts:
LittleAbruzzenBear · 30/10/2013 12:36

I think he actually looked like Anthony Perkins (Norman Bates). I'm going to check and get back to you on that in a min.

LittleAbruzzenBear · 30/10/2013 12:40

Nope. It isn't. I don't think. It was his eyes and eyebrows.

It obviously is some dodgy reason for wanting the rooms.

The cop who ended up helping the Bates, he is going to want a favour, or he is secretly in on the whole girl-slave business too.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/10/2013 14:11

Def dodgy. Prob gonna have sex orgies

OP posts:
LittleAbruzzenBear · 31/10/2013 07:26

Grin blondes Apparently there are only 10 episodes and I think Season 2 is still filming, or only just airing in the US.

NadiaWadia · 31/10/2013 15:39

The cop who agreed to cover up Shelby's murder played 'Richard' (I think, AKA eyeliner guy, because he looks like he has eyeliner tattooed on!) in 'Lost', if you remember. He's called Nestor Carbonell.

Did anyone else think it was creepy when Norman was walking away from 'Bradley's' house (what a name for girl!) after she had rejected him, and started repeating to himself the things his mother had said about her? Do you think this is the beginning of his 'mother' alter ego taking root, like in the original film. He is becoming the Norman we all remember!

Freddie Highmore is a very good actor.
