who do we think will be the early favourites? Who will get to the grand finale? Who will turn most orange?

It's starting now and I am very excited...!

Never liked James. He's always been a bit humourless, despite all his hilarious banter.

kansasmum · 28/09/2013 20:17

The girl can dance though

FrankelInFoal · 28/09/2013 20:18

Lack of body contact and Craig won't like that she didn't point her toe in that leg extension.

RussiansOnTheSpree · 28/09/2013 20:18

I'm a bit Shock at the people saying they like Vanessa and not James.

RedPencils · 28/09/2013 20:18

She's better than I thought she was going to be.

HRHwheezing · 28/09/2013 20:18

That was good but I still don't like her

Horsemad · 28/09/2013 20:21

Good scores for Abbey - her mum is very attractive isn't she?

I turned over when Abbie came on. Cannot abide her. Gutted that she appears to have been good.

digerd · 28/09/2013 20:41

Abby hasn't danced before? Rubbish! She and that dress looked stunning.

SuperiorCat · 28/09/2013 20:45

Oh I'm so happy Strictly is back.

digerd · 28/09/2013 20:46

Her 96 year-old Grandmother looked amazing for her age. Better than the Dragon who also surprised me. But there were no hips glued together and the gap became wider.

megcleary · 28/09/2013 20:52

What was Bruce roaring about over the credits!!!

digerd · 28/09/2013 20:53

The film Atlantis is on and my picture is fine, so what is up with the Strictly transmission, I wonder? Sad

sassytheFIRST · 28/09/2013 20:54

What was the bleeding song Abi was dancing to? And the film it was from?Stuck in my ear now but can't quite chase it down!

It was from Romeo + Juliet.

sassytheFIRST · 28/09/2013 20:56

Of course it was - the song sung when Leo and Claire spot each other thro the fish tank. I see it every year - English teacher - and just couldn't place it! Thanks.

Really didn't think i'd life Abbie but she was surprising. Very able and seems quite nice too. It would be a bit unfair if she doesn't do well simply because people have a preconception that they won't like her.

MummyofIsla · 28/09/2013 20:59

*like

mysticminstrel · 28/09/2013 21:00

The Puff gag was a dragon reference- SURELY??

Dragon's Den..Puff the magic dragon? At least that's how I interpreted it

FrankelInFoal · 28/09/2013 21:02

Mystic Bruce did say it meaning Puff the Magic Dragon, but then added to the double entendre by saying "I said Puff!"

sassytheFIRST · 28/09/2013 21:02

I thought Abi seemed nicer than I expected. And also like a person who has had A LOT of private lessons since her agent confirmed she had a place on Strictly!

TheSmittenKitten · 28/09/2013 21:02

Yeah, but he then clarified saying something about meanng her, not him. Grrrr
