Paul Hollywood does piss me off tbh, but I love seeing all the cakes & stuff. Will probably have to make something to eat whilst watching it though...

am agreeing that frances doesn't fully deserve level of[ some of the more OTT] bitchy comments have seen here - also think kimberly's a fab baker-and-doesn't-she-know-it--and that she was a bit off with ali re the work bench use for filo pastry......LOVING HOWARD!!!!!!!!

and with Frances - its not overly personal (although her sort of inane grin does make me a bit Hmm ), i think its more the gimmicky nature.. people like this have always got my goat. Its nice as a treat ie showstopper but those bloody bread sticks and matchbox - that's where it all started to go wrong for her with me!!

Yes I welled up when Ali left too. I think it should've been frances. Or that horrible army woman. Her food is never appealing.

I like Howard but would live Christine to win. Her crying was so so elegant. Love her. And Kim. Am not keen on Mary kneading the bread with such long spiky nails. Eewwwww.

Top two should definitely be Kimberley and Ruby as they are consistently good. As for the third one the others are all a bit of a mixed bag aren't they? Good moments and bad. I'll say either Christine or Rob should be the third contender.

These are not the people I like the best though, just the ones I think are the best bakers. Love both Howard and Glenn but can't see them making it to top three though.

Gutted about Ali because he was nice and obviously popular and quite hot, but I agree that it's a bit babyish that he couldn't bring himself to try his own fruit pie!

Army woman is a bit bolshy IMO. I like Christine to Ali: 'If you don't keep in touch, I'll KILL you!' Grin

I don't like Ruby's sulky face.

Overachiever woman gets right up my nose.

Glenn is a sweetie but I fear he's reaching his limit.

Howard makes me smile. I think he'll go out soonish though.

Kimberley is fucking fantastic. She clearly loves cooking and eating all the things she makes. I'm Team Kimberley for the win.

I think Ruby is a sweetie really, she's consistently good. The way she is edited isn't great, she's always shown pulling some gormless expression, she much watch it back and think wtf?

I loved Ali, but he wasn't up to the others standards, and I think Kimberley is brilliant.

Howard is my favourite, he is a bit monotone, but comes across as really quite humourous and likeable.

I agree about Ruby AlexReids I loved the pie filling she made, marzipan is my fave, I bet it tasted amazing; perhaps the editor thinks she's sooo pretty he'll only put in her gormless faces!

Oh, I liked the glasses! I thought he looked really handsome in them. He suited his hat too, I thought, and the green was a nice colour on him.

Bear in mind too that all of these episodes will have been edited knowing which three make it to the final and who wins. They are setting up the story arcs for each of their "characters". It's not really real life.

That's true of course Pachacuti It's an interesting question whether they deliberately make a story or not if they even have the time to do so. DD is producing a TV show ATM (not 'reality though) and she has very little highly stressed time to do anything but the basics.
