Very excited!

Paul Hollywood does piss me off tbh, but I love seeing all the cakes & stuff. Will probably have to make something to eat whilst watching it though...

OP posts:
VikingVagine · 03/09/2013 21:09

Deborah and the builder guy

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 03/09/2013 22:17

I think Howard is Michael Gove's long lost older brother.

Fakebook · 03/09/2013 23:03

OMG at that cone making thing! "My husband made it for me" hahahaha, it looked like a pelvic floor toner Confused

Dancergirl · 03/09/2013 23:05

It's probably a vibrator

Gracelo · 04/09/2013 08:43

I got all inspired and will be turning the nectarines in my fridge which need using up into a trifle tonight. I'm even going to bake a sponge for it because the dc have eaten all the ladyfingers from the cupboard.
I really don't like the idea of floating islands. It all just seems too sweet and gooey and similar in texture.
I agree with this week's judging and I thought Mel/Sue were on great form.

ViviPru · 04/09/2013 09:12

lolz @ "meat trifle"

I agree with Gwendolyn way too much custard fannying. Not enough baking.

It's a shame about Deborah - I think she's better than that but a fair decision based on the events of the show.

Ruby's trifle was abysmal - like the peacock it looked like a kid's school project. I really like the teacher guy, he has a nice way about him. Glad the builder guy's gone, I found him a bit abrasive.

Christine's anal probe brandysnap shaper inspired me to commission DH to fashion me a cone for the purposes of funnelling my baked granola into jars. It's really very technically advanced....

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 04/09/2013 09:55

It was a butt plug.

Ruby's trifle was a dog's breakfast.
Iles flottantes strike me as a very boring pudding indeed.
Fecking overachieving whatsername and her fecking Sugar Plum Fairy record. Bugger off.
Thought Paul and builder were going to come to blows at one point.
Deborah looked genuinely gutted to go. She had a bad week though.
Kimberley's petits fours were soooooo pretty.
Liked the teacher bloke. He's a sweetheart.
Ali looked quite attractive Blush

ithaka · 04/09/2013 09:58

Was anyone else amazed when they did that bit about Deborah's home life & she was a mum with a 9 year old? I had assumed she was a granny like Christine. I wonder how old she is?

I really like Howard, but DD2 can't bear him - he is so hangdog & everything goes wrong for him, he is like an Alan Bennet character.

I also like smiley teacher man, he seems like he would be a great high school teacher.

ithaka · 04/09/2013 10:02

I just googled Deborah (should have done that before) and she is 51 & it says she has a teenage son, so I obviously wasn't paying attention during the clip....

Dancergirl · 04/09/2013 10:37

Howard did NOT look happy about having his custard swiped..

ViviPru · 04/09/2013 11:02

he seems like he would be a great high school teacher.

I like the way he gives 'helpful hints and tips' to his students as he goes along, reminds me of when I was little and used to pretend I was on telly when I was baking....

Fakebook · 04/09/2013 11:06

Did anyone notice Mel and Sue's little jibe at Paul about the "marrying up" comment? I found that funny.

I feel sorry for Howard. He reminds me of Droopy Dog.

Pachacuti · 04/09/2013 14:08

I like Howard; he reminds me of a friend/colleague who died a couple of years ago. Frances and her constant theming of everything is irritating.

Dancergirl · 04/09/2013 14:15

Think Kymberly might win...

wintera · 04/09/2013 14:15

There were some laugh out loud unintentional funny bits last night I thought. First Howard's jogging and then Christine's butt plug thing. Classic! Love this show!

Mark redeemed himself with what he said once he'd been eliminated. He said something about how if anyone else had been eliminated over him he would hate jumped up and said no, that's not right. I thought that showed him in a good light. Very much agreed with the decisions last night too.

Pachacuti · 04/09/2013 14:15

Mighty Mighty Monkseal's blog on last night's show isn't up yet, but this is the week 2 writeup as it hasn't been linked here so far.

nocarsgo · 04/09/2013 15:01

I'd forgotten about that blog! The write ups of the last series were genius.

LetUsPrey · 04/09/2013 22:32

I'm liking Howard and Glenn.

Howling at Monksel's blog Grin

LetUsPrey · 04/09/2013 22:33

FFS Monkseal not Monksel.

And my typing's better than my baking

Plus3 · 05/09/2013 00:04

Love Monkseal's blogs - his Strictly one is fabulous!

I loathe Francis (which seems unjust, but she irritates me. A lot)

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 06/09/2013 13:06

DD calls Howard "Mr Bean" Grin

Gracelo · 06/09/2013 14:52

Waterstones has a competition for card holders to win tea with Mary Berry at a "prestigious London location". Here in case somebody would like to enter.

nocarsgo · 06/09/2013 16:21

There's definitely something beyond parody about Howard Grin

Lizzabadger · 06/09/2013 17:40

I love Howard.

wintera · 07/09/2013 06:20

Howard is quite clearly, the breakout star of this series! Hope he doesn't go anytime soon!
