I am not anti Justin - I am just fed up of seeming him on every blooming programme ds and I have watched today. He even does the voice of one of the Tweenies (Jake?). Rant over...Grin

I think Justin is very likely to have read this thread. He might not have gone searching for stuff about himself, I would expect that in his proffession he has an agent at least, possibly a publicist as well. It kind of goes with the territory! So someone else may have discovered this thread on his behalf! Certainly if i were an agent or a publicist, I would be looking on the net.

Anyway, to me, as a mother of a child with a rare genetic problem which caused severe developmental delay (DD said her first words at 4 1/2!) Justin has proved himself to be a Godsend, he doesn't need the "Captain Adorable" outfit to be a hero!

I wonder what made him get into Makaton, why he chose to do something that would mean helping children with special needs? Whatever the reason, I am glad he does what he does! xx

Well it might have been Alan Johnston's idea, but wow, I agree, he certainly made the right choice. When I first got help regarding my daughter, I was advised to watch "Something Special" so I could learn Makaton from it, with the long wait for a training course. I never managed to get to a training course, the hours were always wrong for me, but I watched that programme as if it was a TV Makaton course. I didn't need any other training in the end!

So to me, no matter what anyone thinks about him being on CBeebies so much, he is pretty much "something special" himself.

I would love to meet him one day, hopefully with my daughter, to thank him! I don't fany him, he's not my type! But he is someone I will be forever grateful to!

Misspointypencil · 11/02/2011 22:26

That was supposed to say I don't fancy him, not I don't fany him! Not much of a difference though!!!

eden263 · 11/02/2011 23:12

I was watching Come Outside earlier and it's always made me laugh the way Lynda Baron clearly doesn't fly the plane herself. I was thinking (Henchwench, you know where this is going, don't you?! Lol!), if Justin was Aunty Mabel, he'd be flying the damn plane himself! Grin

Shambles, you keep whatever dark-horse-image-shattering revelations you have to yourself, missus! Shock

eden263 · 11/02/2011 23:15

BTW, Henchwench, it's the first result if you google 'Justin Fletcher gay' Wink

Though of course, that is by no means the way that I discovered the thread initially...

OMG, Pippin has had me in tears many times too...the one where she chases the dustcart and gets lost at the tip...But Mabel knows what she's like - keep the mutt on a lead ffs! Wink

Used to watch it with my two (now grown-up) boys, am quite enjoying the nostalgia of watching it again with DD :)

Yes, Justin is god, but euw! Definitely not a sex god, pmsl!

DIY Dan walks on stilts in one episode of Gigglebiz! Is there nothing he can't do?!!!

PS Mavis - are you actually from Mavis Enderby? What a class name for a village! Reminds me of the stand up comedian Boothby Graffoe. We know how to name our towns round here! Wink

Actually I've had doubts about the roller skating myself TBH, as the proper skating is never shown in close-up, but everything else seems real enough. There is obviously a 'spare' Justin about the place for when Mr Tumble & another Tumble are in shot together...Though there's one episode where Mr Tumble is shaking Grandad Tumble awake in the garden and 'Mr Tumble's' hand is so obviously a totally different skin tone to JF's! It's glaringly obvious (though of course it's obviously not him anyway IYSWIM) but then, I guess it wouldn't be glaringly obvious to a 3 year old, so they probably weren't that bothered!

eden263 · 13/02/2011 09:06

I was thinking the other day (after myself even starting to get a wee bit over-Justined with CBeebies that day - he was on the programme links as well!) - this thread was started getting on for 5 years ago and JF is still monopolising CBeebies. That's got to be pretty good going for any entertainer.

supertrapaza · 13/02/2011 11:59

Not to make some of you jealous here, but i have 'been there' with Justin. I used to date him. He is a lovely man. And very clever and good at his job. He deserves to be where he is now. And i hope he continues to stay there.

eden263 · 13/02/2011 18:37

That's really nice to hear, from someone with 'proper' experience of him IRL. Not that we thought any different Wink

lolbaby · 13/02/2011 21:03

Reveal yourself supertrapaza..!! Hmm

eden263 · 19/02/2011 01:20

They're showing an older series of SS ATM (as I'm sure you all know!) which is nice. Was watching the market one and the little boy had a piece of cheese, took a bite, then stuffed it in Justin's mouth, and, with barely a moment's hesitation, he just went along with the boy and ate it. Bless him. Some parents wouldn't even do that. Truly exceptional man.

Still fancy Mr T a lot though. How do I fancy him but not J? It's the same person!! Although it's not, not really. IYSWIM. Confused

PS Where is everyone? And hello lolbaby, not seen you for a while either

lolbaby · 21/02/2011 21:28

Hi Eden..! >Big wave<
Grin
I am very sure you're not the first to fancy Mr Tumble more than Justin..
Justin..? Professional..
Mr Tumble..? Mischievious..
Wink

Hmm, Mr T is just cute...think it's the freckles!

When does that new show start that we read about? I can't remember.

soapandsuds · 22/02/2011 22:18

Hilarious reading this thread. Justin Fletcher is fantastic. I have appreciated him more and more over the past two years of parenthood. He has such a brilliant way with children and is indeed ridiculously multitalented. I remember how comfortable he looked cantering a horse. Combined with all the other 'skills' he performs effortlessly I bet we will see him doing a bit of Parkour(free running) next!(obviously whilst simultaniously signing!)I love all the facial expressions and ability to convince us with all the characters. I would like to see him do a show in the evenings for us adults (not necessarily the dirty kind some of you are after lol) but a light hearted comedy sketch show. I'd watch it! Full marks to Justin for all the good work!

Indeed, the horse riding was one of the first things that made me sit up and pay attention! Loving the parkour idea!

Have noticed he is an amazingly accurate shot as well, casually throwing beanbags into buckets and in one ep of SS recently, Mr T threw something backwards over his shoulder into a bin! Gadzooks, the man is not human!! Wink

Yes, it's a very funny thread, I spent all of New Year's Eve reading it, lol!

I think from now on, St J should only be referred to with the prefix 'The ridiculously multitalented..." Grin
