Was going to post exactly the same thing!! Who does the little girl belong to?

Oh is it that dead woman?!

Journey · 19/05/2013 21:12

Same here!

PenelopePortrait · 19/05/2013 21:13

The girl belongs to an abusive woman in the airport? I saw the mother yelling at the girl and Victoria Wood slapping the mother. Not sure what happened then or to the mother.

Do you know what? Last time around none of us ended up liking this. It was only Jason Issaacs that made it worth watching.

I've read all the books and don't have a clue what's going on. In the one that was on before was he going out with the policewoman? I feel like I'm missing something or I've forgotten.

GeorginaWorsley · 19/05/2013 21:54

Read book and not a bad interpretation,if a bit rushed.
Victoria Wood a good Tracy.

Lighthousekeeping · 19/05/2013 21:57

I can't remember this book! Was it a later one? I'm sure I've read them all.

JethroTull · 19/05/2013 21:58

Was the book Started Early, Took My Dog?

girliefriend · 19/05/2013 21:59

Enjoyed that actually!

Although struggled with the scottish accent at times Blush

PenelopePortrait · 19/05/2013 22:01

First time I've watched it but wasn't keen, expect for Mr Issacs ( as you said lighthouse Smile

Why didn't Jackson keep the dog? :(

I liked it, not sure I fully understood all of it, but Jason Issacs definitely helps :)

Lighthousekeeping · 19/05/2013 22:16

He does help but that doesn't make up for the fact that it was ten times more confusing than the book. It was the same last time as well.

diddl · 19/05/2013 22:25

So what happened to the girl from Germany?

cocolepew · 19/05/2013 22:30

My sky box froze and we missed the first 10 minutes.

Lighthousekeeping · 19/05/2013 22:44

Does that secretary ever get paid?

5Foot5 · 20/05/2013 12:38

I have read the book and think it was quite well done.

But I am wondering about the status of the rest of the series and what this means about any future books from Kate Atkinson. There are not any more Jackson Brodie novels left to do AFAIK. So in the remaining two episodes these must have been written specially for TV? I wonder if that means Kate Atkinson has sole the rights to the TV company and doesn't intend to write any more of the novels?

Solaia · 20/05/2013 21:25

Hi all, I didn't watch series one - do you think I will be ok picking it up now?

If it helps I have read Case Histories, Started Early and When will there be good news, just reading One Good Turn at the moment.

Is it worth watching and will I be able to follow it? Confused

Thanks

Lighthousekeeping · 20/05/2013 21:58

I maybe abit slow on the uptake because I've found all of them hard to follow and I've read the books!

Cooroo · 20/05/2013 22:05

Started Early took place in Leeds, which made it great fun to read (as I live there!) - nice change from authors thinking I care about London streets. But they moved it to Edinburgh. Shame. But probably prettier.
