Best Children's TV Character of all time?

As my name suggests, I am a Ben & Holly fan, I like Mrs Elf but Nanny Plum is my fav. Is she the best? Any other contenders out there??

Teddy Ruckspin - he was so cute and loved his little adventures. Which also reminds me of the Gummy Bears - bouncing here and there and everywhere... there are so many good ones!!

Sweep from sooty and sweep.

Rattus Rattus from horrible histories. hes especially funny in HH gory games with Dave Lamb. great double act.

Sweep is ace, really mischievous, Soo is quite a boring goody-goody. Roland from Grange Hill, Max from the Tweenies - a big kid at heart who loved a nap whilst looking after children. Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble, Grommit - obviously the brains of the house, Dr. Bob and Beaker from the Muppets.

From my own childhood - Bagpuss, Mr Ben and the Flumps, especially Pootle.

From DD's - Slugsy & Primrose from Fifi and the Flower Tots, Daddy Pig and Charlie & Lola.

DH's fave would be Snoopy - we used to collect Peanuts memorabilia and have as 4ft tall one in the loft!Grin

I'm with you OP. As soon as I saw the thread title I thought Nanny Plum. We're going to see Ben & Holly on stage in a few weeks, I can't wait, er, I mean DS is very exited about it. I know the actors won't be the same people who do the character voices, but still.

Worst current is dull, patronising Driver Dan.

From way back when, Bagpuss was the best.
