Actually, if they are planning a second series to cover the court case that would make an outcome of "wrong man/woman nicked and real killer revealed at the end" quite logical, because then the court case would be focused on how to prove the innocence of a person who has been wrongly charged, and perhaps reveal the real killer - a bit like Perry Mason...

late joiner.... my theory since episode 1 is that Ellie's son did it, by accident, and his dad helped get rid of the body/ cover it up. So hope I'm wrong otherwise a waste of all this time!
