Which is the least gory of the Scandi-dramas?

I started watching the Killing but the whole kidnapping of child / man being kicked off tall building and left hanging made me feel kinda queasy....

I realise I'm being a big ole woos - but I love all that Scandi moody stuff with kickass female detectives and political intrigue (and have just finished mourning the loss of Borgen) but I just hate the gore... so which is the least gory of them all?

Ta very muchly.

None if them really [helpful]. I think they try to out-gross one another on the gore, but having said that, there is plenty of great drama between those bits. The Killing & The Bridge both fabulous. I'm squeamish but stomached all of them Grin

Borgen.
It's about politics, society, relationships and family. No gore at all.
Series 3 coming to BBC4 soon.
It's superb!

Oh, OK you've seen Borgen Blush Must read properly.

Wallander Swedish version box sets are ace also.

Not so much violence, but some and it is just enough so you get the idea. Never violence for violence's sake.

WowOoo - thanks but I've already watched Borgen .......somewhat obsessively my family might say ......... in fact so obsessively I can now hold a simple conversation in Danish and know more about imaginary politics in Denmark than I do about RL politics in the UK!!

Now, when you say that Series 3 is coming to BBC4 soon, how soon do you mean? I heard it wasn't here until next January and was desolate ..... but do you know something I don't?

Could be next Jan. There was an article in last week's paper I have yet to read.

Gore and Scandi crime go together. Looking forward to The Bridge returning (Autumn 2013 apparently) as Saga Noren is about the best (unusual) character around.

Non Scandi but foreign - Inspector Montalbano - no gore but transports you to the Med in an instant - which can't be bad. Stay away from Engrenage (Spiral) currently showing on BBC4 - total goreGrin. Otherwise you'll have to wait for Borgen to return.

I just started The Bridge. Love it.

The Killing is amazing, and not terribly gory.

Sorry to hijack, but have just finished watching latest Borgen and love it. Have looked at getting previous series on eBay/amazon but still v expensive. Does anyone know if it's on Netflix/lovefilm etc?
