SconeInSixtySeconds · 20/02/2013 10:01

I take it that they didn't start off in Perth then!?

Passmethecrisps · 20/02/2013 10:01

Cat looked like he thought they were twats. Actually, so did their youngest.

DreamsTurnToGoldDust · 20/02/2013 10:01

Are they in Perth? Or on a plane!?

Lollybrolly · 20/02/2013 10:02

Ah so they are in Perth. Thought they wanted to be in Brisbane??

SconeInSixtySeconds · 20/02/2013 10:02

passme I snorted at the cat thinks they are twats comment..

Mrsrobertduvall · 20/02/2013 10:03

I've been ironing and watching this in disbelief.
He wasn't the brightest, was he?
And note they didn't ask the parents again what they thought of it all.

DizzyHoneyBee · 20/02/2013 10:03

lol, Perth but maybe together, maybe not, she has her married name as her middle name on FB.

Passmethecrisps · 20/02/2013 10:04

Awesome. Just brill.

maisiejoe123 · 20/02/2013 10:09

You know the threads where people find themselves without money or who constantly make daft decisions and then whine life hasnt been fair to them - well these two are prime candicates. No one forced them to go to Australia, then come back and then go again wasting all that money and messing up the education of their kids who look lovely. But of course - not their fault.........

Aftereightsarenolongermine · 20/02/2013 11:07

Idiots!

SomeBear · 20/02/2013 14:26

Just caught up with today's on iplayer (spent the morning at A&E with DD1, thankfully nothing broken after all! Grin). I couldn't find an ounce of empathy with this family, they didn't seem to know what they wanted and were a classic example of the grass not really being greener, no matter which fence you're looking over. I was Shock when Nicki made the comment about the wife standing up to her husband now the children are older and saying no if he wanted to move again. I hope they are happy and settled somewhere now, wherever they are...

MrsReiver · 20/02/2013 14:57

Hello!

I'm so out of date, I feel like I've missed loads. I had a wee stay in hospital on Monday night (discharged in the morning, everything is okay.) When DH and I went to collect DS from my in laws on Tuesday afternoon he gave me a complete account of Tuesday's episode and had apparently told FIL "Mum watches this and moans about it on Mumsnet when I'm at school"

Aftereightsarenolongermine · 20/02/2013 15:13

mrs wish you better soon. :o at your ds

Vagndidit · 20/02/2013 23:02

Yikes! Just caught up on the past two days DS and his half-term Peppa Pig marathon interferring with my tutting!

Certainly both eps should be in a "Best of..." WDU:R Boxed set. Sad about Tues couple's separation but not surprised.
And today's family? Wow. Just wow. Those poor kids being literally dragged across the globe b/c of their flight parents' whim. Surely there must be some wealthy relative funding their whims? Mechanic and a (i think) sahm were lucky to afford Hertfordshire in the first place.

MrsReiver · 21/02/2013 08:45

I'm all good, just had a bit of high blood pressure and a headache so they wanted to keep an eye on me and the baby. We're both fine, and settled on the sofa ready for this morning's installment. Hopefully it won't make me too cross - got to keep that BP down Grin

OP posts:
DizzyHoneyBee · 21/02/2013 08:57

I hadn't thought of that, yes, it's a good point.

Salbertina · 21/02/2013 09:04

Enjoy all you nesting mums-to-be. not sure what my excuse is

Mad/hugely expensive tho it was ls to be boomerang poms, i can understand their crazy homesickness/culture shock/rapid changing of mind ad to whether/how they cd create a new life overseas. It really is hard, lonely and crazy-making much of the time. After 3 yrs abroad, we still question what we're doing (rather different here tho re security/work Oz looks piece of cake in comparison)

DizzyHoneyBee · 21/02/2013 09:15

Not sure of my excuse either, other than a week off work :)
I think the experience can be the same when you move to another part of the country, from talking to a colleague who has done it, I don't think there is much difference between 300 miles and 12 thousand please - at least not if you do not have much money and so can't afford to travel back to keep in touch with friends where you used to live.

DizzyHoneyBee · 21/02/2013 09:15

here we go,, another one moving to get more quality time together.

DreamsTurnToGoldDust · 21/02/2013 09:17

Hello MrsR, good to see you and glad to hear alls good, ok we`ll say positive things about this family to keep your bp stable Grin

Oioi, I remember this one, I think I quite liked her, she had SAD i think?

susiedaisy · 21/02/2013 09:17

Ah I remember her she suffered from Sad!
