The police don't get involved with their own travellers but will go to next county to attend incidents there.
Certainly the traveller girls I have had contact with have not been married at 16 and are much more assertive in there relationships. I always get the feeling that they are definitely the boss. And they definitely have the brains!

Tiny gene pool so lack of variation might have something to do with Them all having similar body types. There is a theory that no Irish Traveller is more than a second cousin from any other Irish Traveller (can't speak for Gypsies and other Traveller groups).
