I like Teddy...I agree with everyone who doesn't like Rayna. I think he was pretty patient and then got fed up with playing second fiddle.

I hope Juliette starts being nice to her assistant...do we think she'll get off with the drugs counsellor?

It would be v cheesy but it seems to be lining up that Deacon and Rayna will be about to get back together and then he'll find out about Maddy and be furious and dump her. I really would like Rayna to have 0 men fawning over her at some point.

Avery is more likeable now.

I still love Deacon, but think he needs to stop moping after Rayna. Glad Teddy moved on.

Hi all! Joining this Fred as am loving Nashville. But will have to remember not to check it until I've watched each episode as am a bit behind. I love Scarlett and Gunner's storyline. And I think the stuff about Rayna's record label is interesting too, especially as they are a looking for one more big star! Will it be Avery? Or even Juliette given her current management situation? And signing Scarlett as a solo artist is obviously going to lead to some twists and turns for her and Gunner.
Have you all seen the YouTube stuff from the girls that play Rayna's kids? I think they're amazing... Although as someone said up thread some of its a little too adult... But I think this m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=7_aJHJdCHAo&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D7_aJHJdCHAo is really cool. X

What age are they supposed to be?

Mid forties?

And the oldest girl is 13?

So Rayna was maybe 30?

So what was the big deal about having to get married-especially if she was doing OK/well at the time & didn't need to marry for money?

I thought it was more that she and Deacon had already split up by then (or he was in rehab for the umpteenth time) and Teddy came along, but Rayna didn't know she was already pregnant with Deacon's child until she and Teddy had committed to their relationship.

Could be that-although my main thought was she was about 30 & pregnant-so why did she "have to marry"?

I was thinking at first that she was very young & that's why.but she wasn't ??

I really think it was more that she had committed to Teddy by the time she/they found out she was pregnant, not that she had to marry him because of the 'shame' of her being young or anything.

Could be wrong though.

I just got the idea that it was all rushed somehow.

Not sure how long rehab is though, but Rayna was married with a baby when Deacon got out.

I thought it was more a case of bad timing than rushing. Perhaps more of this will become clear as the series comes to its climax ? Deacon and Rayna have GOT to have a face-off where he finds out the girl is his daughter.

Just thought I'd add my two penn'orth to this thread, as I've really enjoyed the series so far. BUT am I the only one who doesn't want to see Rayna & Deacon get together? It's just a huge train wreck waiting to happen...... Deacon, lovely though he is, is just broken. Any man who's wasted 14 of the best years of his life moping over a woman he can't have has to have a serious problem. (Although, having said that, I wouldn't kick him out of bed Grin ).Throw the paternity issue into the mix as well....really hope this isn't used as a reason for him to fall off the wagon - that would just be a bit much.
