Anyone watching The New Outnumbered?

My god how old do the kids look now!

Although I would not have chosen Karen I do think it suits the character.

But there have been a few Karen's appearing in preschool lately.

I like Outnumbered but yes the kids re getting a bit old for some of the humour. It made me laugh though.

Just watched it tonight (on Catch Up!).
Don't think it's ever going to match the first couple of series, but still a pleasant way to while away 40mins or so. Thought it was pretty good myself, but then I think I must be easily pleased compared with the MNers who are always moaning about how 'there's nothing to watch on TV this Christmas'

Yes after I posted I saw that the actor playing Ben is actually 13.

Hmm well he comes across as a good deal older than my 13yo or any of his friends. He seems to have suddenly changed from the ahem, quirky little boy with curls to a teeeenager with a mega deep voice - still got the curls but the mayhem casuing madness now seems odd.

Just watched it on the internet.....I thought it was really funny and has lost none of its charm. Im looking forward to the new series this year now.

Karen's name has always bugged me too.

'Ben' is well developed for a just 13 year old.
DS3 is just 6 months older and certainly well into puberty with deep voice and massive growth spurt in last year (more than many of his friends), but not as tall as Ben who I would have guessed is over my DS's 5ft 6inches.

We loved it and this year ds who is 11 is old enough to watch it too and he thought it was great [great]

Jane the sick friend actually made me come over all anxious and want to scrub everywhere with bleach!

Wrt Ben - very similar to all ds's mates who have suddenly all shot up and just on the cusp of puberty but really still silly school boys who are just as daft and rambly as they were when they were 5 or 6
