Bomper · 08/04/2006 21:00

The whole of the Bomper family are on tenterhooks!! Even me, who is so in love with Chritopher Ecclestone, and so did not want to like David Tennant, but actually, secretly, think he's pretty good!!

Did anybody see the news about the new spin off series, Torchwood featuring Captain Jack? It is going to be post watershed, and 'adults only'. In reality this means that it is aimed at a 'Buffy' audience at the youngest.

I am a tiny weeny little bit sad about this. its great for me, but what about 8 year olds who are into Doctor Who. Maybe I am overreacting a bit. I think my problem is that my brother was a huge Tom Baker era Dr Who fan when he was 8/9, and he would have been devastated to learn that there was a Dr Who programme on TV that he possibly wouldn't have been allowed to watch. On the other hand, I suppose today's 8 year olds have only seen one series and haven't been brought up on it in the same way.

There is a kids Doctor Who programme called Totally Doctor Who, starting this Thursday on BBC1 at 5pm. Liz the Blue Peter presenter is presenting it with Barney from CBBC.

Dh still hasn't forgiven me for going into to labour during the series finale last year. It was the highlight of his year (life?) and I kept interrupting him shouting "That's another one! Are you counting?!?" He forgave me when he found out it was reapeated the following night on BBC3. I'd had dd by then so he got the TV to himself Grin
