I don't get it.

Helen was clearly gutted to be voted out. She tried to pass off her dismay as having just woken up but come on! How long does it take someone to get going in the morning? She's a vacuous airhead, but when I saw her mum preening and fussing over her on the Itv 2 after show, it all makes a bit more sense.

Helen's face said it all last night - she couldn't believe it was her who had been voted out. I reckon she thought it was nailed on. Her shock was about the only genuine response we've seen from her throughout.

Apparently she didn't turn up for the morning interview for Daybreak or This Morning, but no reason has been given by the Producers.

Helen probably only does that to her lips once a day and they ALWAYS put it in. Everyone else may have worse habits but the producers choose to ignore them in the edit. Viewers are so manipulated. I don't know why I always stick up for her but in some ways she reminds me of dd2(17) whose looks are very important to her at this stage of life.

Eric has to go tonight. The purpose of the prolonged airing of the argument may have been to turn voters off Rosemary in which case it may be her but I hope not.

Actually, I think not! Clearly her mother has spent the last 22 years bigging her up and not telling her any home truths whatsoever.

Clam, I don't really watch Corrie, but isn't that exactly what her fictional mother was like as well?!

Well, I stopped watching Corrie about 5 years ago, but from what I remember of Rawsie, Helen doesn't appear to have needed to do much acting in the role.

From what I remember from Corrie weren't 'the girls' always upstairs in their bedroom?

Maryz I wondered the same - whether the whole thing hadn't been the brilliant PR / career move she'd hoped & expected and is now lying low. I'm guessing she hoped she'd be seen as super hot vamp / Zoo material.

The thing is I think there was quite a lot of affection for her in the end - I certainly felt much more protective of her in the end. She stuck up for herself when Eric had a go at her and the fake tan thing was so funny but so childlike. If she felt brave enough to laugh at herself and stop worrying about vamping it up I think she'd do pretty well.

Interesting to hear what her mum was like with her - family dynamics and all that!
