KenDoddsDadsDog · 18/11/2012 22:26

It was good !

edam · 18/11/2012 22:28

ooh, I thought it was the Peak District, am oddly pleased I was right. Laughed at the way they all went to bed in separate rooms after the scary goings on - I'd have been insisting on everyone sleeping in the same room, if not the same bed! Missed the start so didn't see what appears to have been the most harrowing part.

BigFatSpider · 18/11/2012 22:28

MrsTomHardy · 18/11/2012 22:29

Thank you Smile

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 18/11/2012 22:32

I really enjoyed it. Just the right mix of incredibly creepy with a good story.

I hope I remember to watch it next week.

YY to not going back to bed in separate rooms though!

bruffin · 18/11/2012 22:32

Yes it is the little girl from the oreo advert.

Dillydollydaydream · 18/11/2012 22:34

I'm going to have to watch this. I've read the book so I know what happens though. It's not too scary I hope?!

RiaOverTheRainbow · 18/11/2012 22:37

Very creepy.

MacAndCheese · 18/11/2012 22:44

What happens in the book?!

legoqueen · 18/11/2012 23:18

Thanks incogneetow, I thought Yorkshire but my husband thought Derbyshire...both with similar buildings & geographical features. I couldn't watch this if I was home alone, it's haunting & sad on so many levels...

PenguinBear · 18/11/2012 23:36

Anyone read the book and able to message me the ending please?

MrsTomHardy · 18/11/2012 23:48

Omg...just watched it on my own on my iPhone in the dark Grin

Loved it!
Didn't know it was a book too

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/11/2012 16:04

working tonight and not sure brave enough to watch in a darkened room via my iphone

dont want to squeal and wake my babies Grin

MrsTomHardy · 19/11/2012 16:43
Grin

It was great tho, can't wait for next episode

Crocklebog · 19/11/2012 20:22

It looks like it was filmed in a place called Downham (I was brought up round there), which is Lancashire.

NotGoodNotBad · 19/11/2012 21:40

Yes, enjoyed this, nice and creepy. Though I couldn't figure out why when the older daughter had seen the ghost, they all went back to their separate rooms to sleep. Wouldn't you all sleep in the same room after that?

germyrabbit · 19/11/2012 21:45

i quite liked it but hope it doesn't turn into the film 'the orphanage'.

MrsTomHardy · 19/11/2012 22:42

Yeah I thought that Notgood

Like hell would I go back to sleep full stop.

edam · 19/11/2012 23:03

imdb says filmed in Greater Manchester, so Crockle's probably closest to the actual location.

edam · 19/11/2012 23:05

They weren't very bothered about their dog going missing, either. I mean, I'm sure if you've lost a child it puts losing a dog into perspective but you'd expect some concern, maybe even added anguish because the kids have already lost their brother and now the ruddy dog's gone too!

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 20/11/2012 20:14

i couldn't watch it, had to switch it off. it was nasty, obvious and exploitative imo. fair enough on ITV...

Oblomov · 20/11/2012 20:19

Agree with Edam, couldn't work out why they didn't make more if the dog going missing. Can't see where they are going with this, though. Is it going to be a total anti-climax and totally naff-ola?

edam · 20/11/2012 20:21

I suppose you could get hold of the Herbert story, but I'd rather wait for the next episode, don't want to spoil it!
