Is it worth sticking with West Wing

I have watched about 5 episodes of season 1 and am struggling to get into it. I love American politics ( Daily Show is my fav show ) but feel it hasn't dated well.. Is it worth sticking with it? Will it get better it ran forever so people must have loved it?

Keep going. We love it - and yes we loop it. We're just starting Season 6 again - probably the 50th time..........

Good grief! If you can stick with the Wire (which is genius, but certainly not an easy viewing option) or Mad Men (beautiful but....erm....slow) then you can def stick with the WW. Heresy, woman!! But yes- carry on.

celestial couldn't agree more! In fact I think I'll watch some again only for maybe the 5th time!
I was so gutted when i had finished watching the whole thing because there was nothing more to watch anew. Got the book though- episode companion which explains many concepts and incidents through out the series. I think the book covered till series 3 though.

And don't jump ahead to the first two episodes of season 2! They do give you more background, but you will totally spoil the ending of season 1, which is totally amazing!

Gosh the ending of season 1 is some of the best of the whole programme - you don't want to miss that.

Season one is worth watching just for the 'Josh meets Joey Lucas' episode alone.

Actually we watched 2 more last night stockard channing finally appeared was wondering when I would see her and it wasn't too bad. Looking at the Discs to come on love film there are so many more episodes to go for season 1 so will 100% contuine .. Actually all these amazing reviews has made me excitied to watch the rest

Piggy, Stockard Channing is very in and out until Season 3, when she becomes a regular.

Glad you're sticking with it, if nothing else you'll look at the actual US elections in a whole new light

We've been doing some decorating and everything has been packed away, but we're going to dig out the season one boxset and start watching it again tonight. Stay with it, it's definitely worth it.
