Yes! I agree!

BonkeyMollocks · 27/08/2012 11:08

Oh oh oh, I'm up to episode 10.

Is it a good ending?

Don't think this one has been as good

kitsonkittykat · 27/08/2012 11:48

Its a shocking ending! I cant believe they did that! I think this season is much better than season 4. I didnt much enjoy the Marnie thing, and when we lost Jesus they lost me a bit.

I wish I could talk about it, but I guess people aren't there yet, so Ill be quiet!

When Jesus died, i could not stop crying emotional fool

I am completely up to date!! Jaw hit floor, i hate that we now have to wait for ages for the next series and also that the series are so short!!

Also you could so tell that Miss Stackhouse is up the duff Grin

PfftTheMagicDraco · 27/08/2012 22:02

I was amused that they used a weapon to hide her baby bump Grin

Despite myself, I think the series is doing badly. Too many characters, and too much time spent on annoying stuff. Terry and the Ifrit, Patrick (what a waste of an actor!). The Luna and shifter stuff. far too many breasts this season. Too much time with Salome. Not enough time with Eric, like there is ever enough. Tara is far less annoying as a vampire than she ever was as a human, which is one upside.

Far better finale than last season's though. More Eric, please. Sam always get's the best kills. First Marianne, now this one.

cookielove · 28/08/2012 12:24

Love Eric, although he's eye's have been moistening a lot recently and yet they are real tears not blood, granted he hasn't actually cried but i would have thought his eyes would have watered blood Hmm i may have thought about this to much.

I couldn't believe they kept Tara alive, she is so bloody annoying.

PfftTheMagicDraco · 28/08/2012 15:32

I notice that, too, cookie. It happened to Salome on the finale as well.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 28/08/2012 15:35

La la la la la I've not watched it yet due to family emergency. So I hereby BAN any mention of last episode.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 28/08/2012 15:36

But fuck me I swear Eric just keeps getting taller..

Ilovedaintynuts · 28/08/2012 15:45

Eric's forehead is certainly getting larger and his jaw is definitely getting weaker. He also whistles occasionally out of his front teeth, they are obviously veneers and they give him a bit of bother Smile

Methe · 29/08/2012 20:00

This series has be amazing, much much better than 4

Shock indeed!

AmazingBouncingFerret · 29/08/2012 20:07

Watched it last night.

Well fuck me.

The bastards know how to do a cliffy don't they.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 29/08/2012 20:08

Just realised I used the words "fuck me" in a previous comment on this thread..

bigmouthstrikesagain · 29/08/2012 20:11

Yes it was a messy series but I did enjoy the finale and the evil Bill is more fun - definitely not enough Eric - but Sookie Baby bump was amusing - at least they didn't put her in a hole like whatshername in Moonlighting [old fart emoticon]

crackcrackcrak · 29/08/2012 20:12

Not quite up to dare but watched up to the burning true blood factories and Eric realising Lilith isn't to be trusted etc. I was v dissapointed when Alcide knobbed the other werewolf bird Sad

BonkeyMollocks · 29/08/2012 20:15

Not enough Alcide if you ask me....

Ilovedaintynuts · 29/08/2012 20:25

There is never enough Alcide (top off preferably!).

cookielove · 02/09/2012 20:55

Loved it when the boys saw Sookie and Alcide hook up (jealous much)

PfftTheMagicDraco · 03/09/2012 08:40

Bigmouth, I felt the same as you - messy series, decent finale.

I just wish I could see more of the characters I liked (Pam, Eric) and less of the ones that I don't - Luna, all the shitty side plots (fairies, HotShot, the Obamas, Ifrit) - and I wish that they would use the supporting characters better. I don't have an issue with Arlene, or Holly, or Andy, or Jason, but I wish they would show small scenes with them (the LaFayette comedic relief scenes are marvellous) rather than trying to give everyone their own storylines.

I wish they hadn't redone the glamouring thing with Hoyt - the emotional forgetting someone scene had already been done more than once.

I hope for less fairies next season. Could Claude be any more badly cast?

WhatMakesYouSay · 03/09/2012 09:07

There was a desperate lack of Eric & Pam together this season, which was a shame, as they are always good fun. I also missed seeing Eric & Sookie together. Alcide was criminally underused.

Alan Ball has now left and won't be involved with Season 6, so maybe it will get a little more focused, although I suspect that we won't be seeing the back of the fairies any time soon, given Andy's surprise.

Orenishii · 04/09/2012 07:36

I don't mind the fairies if they go into the past a bit more - who was that vampire Sookie was sold to 300 years ago - that kind of thing. That "iry floating vampire" thing kind of freaked me out!

I was hoping - in a desperate fan fiction kind of way - they'd incorporate some more of the later books where (and I can't remember how now) Eric tricks Sookie into marrying him. Or rather, becoming his wife as there's no actual ceremony. In the later books it emerges that Eric is Sookie's true love and goddammit I want to see that! Wink

This season just seemed so lacklustre - missing a lot of it's bite and snark, and the storylines just weren't as engaging as before. Agree about Terry, Patrick and the stupid Ifrit. Was that all Rene came back so tantalisingly to warn Arlene about in the previous season cliffhanger??

And stupid Bill! Stupid, so easily swayed Bill! This isn't the first time he's changed allegiances, dumped the people he supposedly cares about and takes up with some megalomanic. Not impressed Bill. I guess the season did pick up by the end, in a Queen of the Damned kind of way but much, much more of Pam, Eric and Sookie next season please.
