As much as it has ravaged her body, seeing that tiny baby I think I can see why she has done it tbh.

Olympicpark · 21/08/2012 21:59

Oh mega phew..... Grin

MikeLitorisRings · 21/08/2012 21:59

MissMogwi · 21/08/2012 21:59

I'm ten mins behind and in floods. Kelly looks so ill.

sailorsgal · 21/08/2012 22:00

That name is a bit of a mouthful! Probably end up as Prime Minister with that name. Grin

Indith · 21/08/2012 22:00

Pickles77 · 21/08/2012 22:00

sniff, sniff.

Indith · 21/08/2012 22:01

phew. Well that was tough viewing!

Kayano · 21/08/2012 22:02

I cried but I'm annoyed at the same time. That poor baby is so sick and born so early Sad

What if she had died? What about her DD? I know I've never been in her position but (disclaimer I am adopted) I just do not understand such determination to have a 2nd biological child over your own health: your existing daughters mother

Pickles77 · 21/08/2012 22:02

Thank you for the pleasure of your company ladies. Same time next week Smile

My grandmother had post partum trauma was sectioned in 1933 and never came out of psychiatric hospital . It always worried me that I would suffer the same but was very lucky not to suffer PND at all.
Will try to watch the newsnight programme .

I watched it in floods of tears. Holly and I became friends when we were both pregnant, her with Arthur and me with my twin daughters, via another forum, as we were both on bedrest due to our waters breaking early. Words can't explain how happy I am for her to have Monty, he is so gorgeous and she is such a good Mum.

I really felt for Kelly, presumably her first pregnancy was nothing like that and it's hard not to assume things will be the same the next time. I'm so glad for them that things turned out OK in the end, she looked so, so ill during her pregnancy, especially during the itching.

I felt infuritated that the diabetic girl (sorry, can't remember her name) wouldn't go into hospital and then discharged herself, but I think some hospitals are guilty of treating pregnant women like they can't cope with the truth about what the actual risks are, so it may be that the risks were not made clear to her and she was only young.

Bramblesinafield · 21/08/2012 22:40

That's a lovely post about your shared experience, midori. I have a large retriever here, who has been much hugged whilst I watched it!

MerrilyWatkins · 21/08/2012 22:48

I was in floods with this programme! I really felt for holly-I lost my first baby at 6 months pregnant-he died in our arms at 10 hours old. So I understood how she felt she couldnt possibly enjoy the pregnancy at any point.

I also understood kellys need to have another child. I suffered 4 losses including 2 very late ones in the effort to give my dc a sibling. I also had the risk of getting a serious pregnancy related condition. But I chose to carry on as the need to have another child over rode all that....
