Silent Witness is on tonight!

Not a new series, just the two episodes they had to pull earlier in the year. I'm hoping it isn't as bad as the last series - I'm an eternal optimist!

I think the last series has been really grim and not up to scratch.

I love good detective prog as much as the next person, but they have all just been so nasty.

I really enjoyed it in a grim way.
Looking forward to the second episode.

It was obviously filmed close to where I live - I keep recognising places I know. I want to tell my daughters never to go there again...

Grim is the word. Especially when it was pulled from the schedules earlier in the year because of the uncanny similarity with the Rochdale grooming case that was in court at the time. Normally you watch Silent Witness and think it's all a bit far-fetched with made up horrible stories, but with this you just can't help but think about it happening for real and in this country.

I would have thought it was far-fetched ... and I haven't exactly led a sheltered life.

I can see now why it was pulled.

Horrible, just about watching it though my hands. Horrible scenes and more so knowing it's happened in rl

I watched it. It has made me wonder how the girls and their families in RL are coping now. I hope they are doing ok and getting all the help they need.

ok, so how come Dr Alexander didn't contract the scarlet fever after giving mouth to mouth?

Did it bother anyone else that the girl victims spoke with very "middle class" accents? Seemingly implying it was even more shocking THESE girls were groomed and raped? Maybe I'm looking too much into it.

Their home life wasn't middle class though. Bit of an odd mix.

No, exactly, they were given "middle class" accents so that we would empathise/identify more with them. That is what I don't like.
Give them local "lower class" accents and suddenly it doesn't matter so much...

I have to say they didn't much sound like any teen I know or work with

Just watched both episodes, ha to look away from the screen a lot though

Was that the last ever silent witness or I have just made that up?
