Documentary series following the children featured in Child of Our Time. Rebecca's parents are keen for both their children to get a good education. With her mother's encouragement Rebecca is doing well at school, though like many six-year-old girls she loves anything pink and fluffy, and would rather play than do her homework. The family's Jewish religion plays a large role in her life, but the Saunders family are are also fiercely patriotic and football-mad. Will Rebecca fulfil all her parents' aspirations?
