Are you some kind of medium westcottcitizen ? Grin

westcottcitizen · 26/07/2012 22:20

No I mean he is in my sitting roomGrin with his lovely wife. He's feeling a little anxious, so be nice!

CuriousMama · 26/07/2012 22:21

No not Sean Bean Grin

I'm going to go mad if I can't remember?

westcottcitizen · 26/07/2012 22:21

Someone said Russell Crowe, but can't see that myself.

OK Andy. Missed the bit about the house???? What was that all about?

NotGeoffVader · 26/07/2012 22:24

I'm just watching this now on 4+1.
A friend of mine has OCD, BiPolar and Aspergers - but he doesn't hoard. However, I do notice some similar personality traits.

It's really good that the people in the village (and particularly Andy) are stepping up and helping. I hope they keep on with following up as Richard seems to be doing really well.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 26/07/2012 22:26

I thought it was good to see a follow up, after watching the first programme last year.

I was really suprised that Richard was happy to let all those papers go.

I'd like to see another follow up next year.

westcottcitizen · 26/07/2012 22:26

He is dictating... We need somewhere to rent, he has no income. As Richard said in the programme "it's a win win situation".

OP posts:
Lonelylou · 26/07/2012 22:32

Who is 'we'?

westcottcitizen · 26/07/2012 22:33

Andy & his family.

frecklyspeckly · 26/07/2012 22:37

Well I think you both come across very well and as very kind people Andy and Mrs Honey. I would not listen to the naysayers.

NotGeoffVader · 26/07/2012 22:38

Andy should be offered a TV job - he has worked absolute wonders. Who needs to see gormless shallow gits in 'Big Brother' when there are charitable, concerned, upstanding citizens that deserve a break?

frecklyspeckly · 26/07/2012 22:39

lonelylou is speechless. She's all gone quiet!! Grin

westcottcitizen · 26/07/2012 22:43

They are trying not to listen to the negative people. Richard is in a much happier place than this time last year.

OP posts:
frecklyspeckly · 26/07/2012 22:49

its very hard to help people altruistcally and not be judged speaking from personal experience but you have done a fantastic job on Richard s house! and you helped himwhen other supposed experts could not

frecklyspeckly · 26/07/2012 22:50

spelling crap, had wine.

tak1ngchances · 26/07/2012 22:54

Andy I think you are a wonderful, kind and generous person (unlike many of the other villagers in the programme). I believe in karma, I am sure you have a lot of good things coming your way.

tak1ngchances · 26/07/2012 22:55

Also I wish Richard some peace and calm in his mind. He seems a lovely dignified man who faces his illness with humour.

westcottcitizen · 26/07/2012 22:56

Andy says.... Thank you. I feel like a PA - i'm saying that bit not Andy!

OP posts:
westcottcitizen · 26/07/2012 22:58

Andy says... Richard is in a more positive and strong position than he has been for a long time.

OP posts:
Lonelylou · 26/07/2012 23:00

Sorry...no I'm back.

I wish we had more Andy's in this world. Don't listen to the backstabbers.

I help a retired friend and have done for years. I take her out in the car a lot. One neighbour seemed to think I had ulterior motives Sad

She said to my friend, "What about her (my) husband?! What does he have to say about you going out all the time?"

When I heard this I said "Tell her we only got married...we didn't get glued together!" Angry

Seems you've embarassed some neighbours Andy for not getting there first. Flowers

worryingwillow · 26/07/2012 23:01

Heartbreaking. Richard seems like a lovely bloke. :( I hope he lives the rest of his life in a happier place both physically and mentally iyswim.

TheCrackFox · 26/07/2012 23:03

I think andy and his family came across well. At least he got off his arse and helped instead of just bitching like everyone else in the community seemed to do.

Richard seems happier. Besides what is the point of having a lovely family home being used as a storage facility when it could be rented out to a family who need it?

I too would like to see another follow up programme next year to see what further progress is made.

SoleSource · 26/07/2012 23:05

Richard is not somebody to feel sorry for. Unless we're all perfect. Andy did a fab job but did it for the house.
