Anyone who watches Merlin? I've heard it's coming back on in late September and is going to be a bit grittier. On one side, I'm glad of that because that's what the myths are all about - but am gutted I don't get to see Anthony Head anymore, because he was absolutely hilarious as Uther!

Anyone else watch Merlin or has even seen it?

I watch it because my DD is obsessed with it.

My watching has nothing to do with Lancelot. Ahem.

I love it for a lot of reasons and yes, some of the knights are pretty pleasant on the eyes. :)

This is a guilty pleasure and I just use DS as an excuse to watch it. Agree re Lancelot, swoon!

I have just bought the box sets and dh and I are working our way through them hope to be finished so that the new series will tag on the end.

I think the last series was grittier (and it was on a bit later too). And the knights of Camelot are very good for morale!

I think next series is supposed to be the last. Looking forward to Arthur finally finding out that Merlin's amazing!

Agree noblegiraffe, I love that Arthur thinks Merlin is daft at times when we all know it's more often than not the other way round!

I don't think they can make it much grittier as they've put it on CBBC (too skin flint to make a decent kids drama)

Personally I think it's pushing it, fine as family viewing, but like Dr Who, I wouldnt want a 6/7 year old watching it without a parent or much older sibling to notice if they were scared.

Hurrah for the return of Merlin - looksomething decent on telly on a Saturday night. Agree we should have more knights, lots of knights in it; I am free to help with casting, will even pay my own travel I too had a soft spot for Uther - nobody does regal clapping quite like Anthony Head, sigh ..drifts into own Merlin world...

DD is addicted to it. We are currently watching our way through it on Netflix. Glad theya re making more. Anthony Head is hilariously bad in it.... Hope we get it over here in the US soon enough.

Getting closer to the new series!

Spotted something on Tumblr just now and I wanted to share it with someone. Given the appreciation of the knights on this thread - and why not, they are very easy to appreciate - I thought you might be interested to see this. Cheesy doesn't even cover it, but it's certainly worth a look or five.

DH loves this show, honestly. Sometimes our Saturday nights revolve around watching the bloody programme
