Carry on my wayward son.....anybody else looking forward to Supernatural's return?

It should have started in June, but Sky are starting it on 18th July (apparently). I have been an avid fan of Supernatural from the start, but don't know anyone else who watches this so fanatically. . I am quite a geek though! My friends all seem to watch reality and soaps mainly. Being 36 weeks pregnant and not going out much means tv is important and I am fed up with tv at the mo, apart from Revenge and The Killing.

I love Supernatural (especially Dean, although the one episode when Sam took his top off.......)

I think I've seen all the series up to date, don't want to say too much as I watch them on Internet, not tv so could be ahead.

I do think it has suffered since it came back after cancellation, the story lines just aren't quite as good

I love Dean too, Sam looks too much like my youngest brother LoL! I am addicted, but I agree the story arc in the last series wasn't as good. Gutted that Castiel will be their frenemy in the new series, I love Cas.

Cas is great. What was the last season you saw? I don't want to put my foot in it by mentioning something you haven't seen yet.

Is Sky showing season 7 soon then? I quite enjoyed 6 even though someone told me it was shit!

I love Sam's angsty acting, that Wayward Son song and Dean is rather attractive, yes

What season is Skye on? I, too, watch it downloaded so don't want to spoil anyone!

The last season (6) ended with Cas absorbing all the souls from purgatory and declaring himself God, after having brought back Sam's memories of hell. Season 7 should start mid-July. It can't be good for Cas in the new series, I will be gutted. I think for people coming into the series late then it doesn't make alot of sense, but SN has a big cult following for geeks like me who have been with the show from the start!

IMHO Series 7 is just okay. There are some major 'are you fucking kidding me?' moments.

I LOVE this show, have been a huge fan from day 1. They are both just stupidly handsome as well which doesn't hurt!

And in the case of Sam...stupidly tall!!

Another long term fan here! Don't care that its a bit silly in places - there are some cracking episodes and it doesn't take itself too seriously! Mmm Dean

Oh dear, we never did end up finishing the last series. Then our digibox got full and we had to delete them. Oh well, will find some way to catch up before the new season starts....

I agree with Tee about series 7, it's still good but it just could have been better. It was a bit like the writers were just thinking an episode or two ahead. Also don't like the new baddies, don't think they add much.
