anyone else addicted to this? or are we (dh, dd & I) just sad old losers....great prog' although hard at times as i have high cholesterol and eat a 'safe' (boring) supper usually whilst watching adam putting away a pound of cheese, bacon, fries & burgers......it's so bad that it is good if you get my meaning

It's light entertainment, I enjoy it.

We tried to get MNHQ to persuade him to do a webchat, but our hopes weren't high. DH wants to do a MVF-based holiday to the USA, going to all the obscure diners. I think it all looks delicious, but not so delicious that I'd want to holiday in Schenectady, New York.

Can I come with on that holiday ? would be my idea of heaven

i hadn't noticed the jacket thing but you're right, he does keep it on. do you enjoy looking at the various faces behind, some people look totally bewildered. it always makes me hungry even if i have just finished eating. dh wants to go to the US, every time the episode finishes he always says 'we must go', i know he is thinking about his stomach. I have been to america many times and have noticed that there are an awful lot of large bottoms there, diet aint great, such large portions et al, but good luck to them, if they are happy, rather than being a miserable stick insect..

We like it in this household. I'd love to go to America to try some of the food he eats, but would have to book two seats for the plane journey home, one for each arse cheek.

When I went to America the first time I put on about 10lbs in 3 weeks bad !!

Apparently he works out twice a day while filming the programme and doesn't eat the day before the challenge, he keeps himself hydrated with water and club soda.
He officially retired from competitive eating in 2012 and MvF food nation was the last series to be made.
