Homeland is over.

CBA watching anything that is ON the telly, need something we can watch when we feel like it, not when it is on.

Suggestions?

If you have any scifi suggestions that'd be awesome. There is a hole in my life since I finished Battlestar Galactica.

Trills - I am not unintelligent, but I got to episode 3 of the Wire before I realised that two characters were not the same person (Avon Barksdale and Stringer Bell) - I thought one was the real name and onewas a nickname. Hmm

In fact I spent most of the first few episodes saying 'what the fuck did they just say' and 'what does that mean? what's going on'.

Then I hit my stride.

It is worth it.

My recommendations

Curb your Enthusiasm
The Shield
The Killing (Danish) definitely
Six Feet Under

I also had a BSG hole, which for a while filled my Six Feet Under hole, and was subsequently filled by The Wire (just read the Wikipedia synopsis after each episode and it'll reassure you that you haven't missed anything crucial. And I surprised myself how quickly I got hooked).

Seconding these:
State of Play (the UK series not the US film)
Mad Men
Borgen
Modern Family is good sharp comedy if you also need that in your life.

Whatever you do don't get lured into Flash Forward, just got crapper and crapper.

Have heard good things about 'In Treatment'.

Are we doing guilty pleasures?... Brothers and Sisters. Blush

I actually liked Flash Forward. Wouldn't have minded a second series. So maybe we have different taste :)

I'm currently watching How I Met Your Mother - DP likes it but it's easy to dip in and out so I don't have to watch it with him.

Someone has borrowed my Spaced DVD - love the alternate subtitles that tell you what's being referenced.

The Wire again, of course. You will love it.

Also second the Shield. Rome is also fun.

I have like almost every box set to come out of the US in recent years. Neither me or any of my familiy enjoyed The Wire. Too dry and hard to follow. I couldn't seem to hear/understand much of the dialogue. I watched every episode because people raved about about it but it was just - meh.

The (Danish) Killing - wow -
Dexter
The West Wing
True Blood
NCIS
The Good Wife
Prison Break
Breakout Kings
Boardwalk Empire
Bones
House

Six feet under is also fantastic.

The Sopranos is brilliant - I am sad that I've got to the end of it :(
