I held off watching it as I wasnt sure it would be my cup of tea.

Im really enjoying it now though.

I know, I got really cross with her moaning about Manchester, cheeky sod!

Great series, and really hope they do more of it, it could go a long way - I think it's being shown on HBO in the US this summer so I guess how popular it is there will decide on another series, and if Chloe can bear the delights of Manchesterford for another season...

While I think she's a good actor, I don't understand why they couldn't use someone British for the part? At least they'd get the accent right. Chloe's shite Oirish accent really lets this down, I can't forget it while I'm watching and it's wince inducing.

I haven't seen the last one. It would've been a challenging role I bet loads of people would've liked to have got their teeth into it. I thought she would've embraced Manchester, she went out with Jarvis Cocker long enough. Yes, I know he's Yorkshire!

Help! My brain's gone blank.

I watched the last episode late last night and deleted it and now I can't remember what happened at the end.

I remember everything else - up to Ryan threatening Eddie - but what happened next? Or did it end like that?

limitedperiodonly · 29/06/2012 08:16

Oh, I tried hard not to spoil it nightwatch. Sorry.

TheNightWatch · 29/06/2012 13:08

having seen the finale, I think that's it.

it was an interesting story, and despite the entirely fucked up nature of the whole thing and every character inside it, I enjoyed watching it.

there won't be a second though, I don't see where they could go with it. as far as I can see, the story has been told.

PfftTheMagicDraco · 29/06/2012 20:12

Limited - that was it, the end.

limitedperiodonly · 29/06/2012 20:48

Thanks. I liked it but the last episode was a bit up in the air like they were hedging their bets.

I imagine they were or still are trying to get a second series but I can't see where it will go.

What a silly ending. I mean, why did he have to kill her? I thought nobody knew who the hit man was. How many people in Manchester needed bumping of on such a regular basis? The plot was mad!!

I enjoyed it though. Now I just want them to run away and live in a nice big house and for her to get her op and the kids to do well at school and for grandma to get to know Mia again.

I dont think it will go down well in the States. Its just abit out there. I dont know anyone else who watched it.

I cant see it having a second season, either.
