... just join me in lamenting the last episode Sad

Can't believe I will no longer be able to watch House and his team getting it soooo spectacularly wrong so many times and still being hailed as medical geniuses!

It still surprises me how many of us love House (the character) despite/because of all his flaws. I think it shows what a complex thing sexual attraction is for women - on paper he just shouldn't be so damned sexy, but he is!

Yes, Thirteen and the lovely Cameron were my favourite team members. Chase (obviously!) and Taub come a close 3rd/4th - the others were all a bit forgettable.

Couldn't stand Amber but she did make for some good viewing and if I ever met Foreman I would poke him in the eye, so arrogant - what was the season tickets thing all about anyway?! He never liked House and all of a sudden wants to be friends with him?

I've been watching House from the beginning and I have to say I loved that finale. I can't think of any other way it could have ended tbh that would have been 'true' to the format, and it was a nice nod to Sherlock (Reichenbach Falls and his assumed death) as the original inspiration. I'm quite chuffed actually as I've been saying this was how I wanted it to end for the last couple of weeks Grin

I thought it would end with them driving off together. I didn't think of him faking his own death - excellent reference to Sherlock Holmes there, MrsDmitri!

Did anyone think Wilson looked too healthy to be dying of cancer? I was thinking of Robin Gibb when he was on Who Wants To Be A Millionnaire - he looked so fragile and I wasn't surprised when a couple of months later he'd died. But Wilson looks like a well-fed guy who goes for beauty treatments, to me!

God, though - Hugh Laurie. What I wouldn't do to/for him.

Yes, I know what you mean about Wilson Imperial, but then I guess that's why he chose not to have any more treatments, as that's what really makes people look so drawn.

I know that nearer the end the illness takes its toll, but I think the Chemo is what we generally see and associate with 'that look' (both my parents had cancer - my mum looked like her usual self right up until the end after radiotherapy and lumpectomy, but my dad had Chemo and lost his hair, lost loads of weight etc. which is a shame as that's how I remember him.)

I found it a bit hypocritical that Wilson didn't want his last few months ruined - even if extended - by the very treatment he has been using on patients throughout his career - perhaps the idea of him going off on a motorbike looking frail and ill wasn't really in keeping with the 'warm optimistic' ending.

I've never read Sherlock (the only time I've encountered him at all was the Benedict Cumberwhatsit ones, which I did enjoy) Perhaps I should check out the originals to see if it fills the gap left by House?!

im not quite sure how i feel about the last episode either....(i taped it to watch when i was off work) i was extremely glad that no one died (that would have been such a cop out and i would have hated it!)

i have every season on dvd, and the last season lost it a bit i thought. Cuddys exit was odd - she just vanished but i know she went to the good wife....hey ho....

i loved that he honoured Wilsons wishes, and i suppose the world is his oyster now...he can do anything he wants because he is officially dead! i hope he finds happiness now! i loved him....he was my huge crush...

funny i caught a thing on UK Gold the other night were Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie were talking about their careers and A Bit of Fry and Laurie and they kept showing clips and i can hardly equate him to that era now at all! I think he is an amazing actor, and they were sat in Oxford talking, and Fry said if they had been in Europe he would have needed security such is Houses popularity.....

seems so strange!
