Chubb, he was in a band called Marmalade? That's all they said.

Jellykat · 22/04/2012 21:03

Well back to RL
thank you laydees Smile

realhousewifeofdevoncounty · 22/04/2012 21:04

I am fancying Danny now. Looked well fit when stood at piano. I do like a tall chap.

AnyFucker · 22/04/2012 21:14

I have seen Holly in RL

height-wise she is pretty small, so the women contestants must be tiny

she is pretty wide though, so that bit isn't deceiving your eye

Chubfuddler · 22/04/2012 21:17

Don't be mean about holly. Not that long ago had a baby.

It was awful. Why did they keep mentioning that certain women were "mothers" as well. I thought it was a singing contest not a fertility contest. And it was ageist. Why keep the younger ones in, the older ones won't have as many future chances.
Someone should confiscate all the female contestants' shoes so they can move around without looking as though they'll fall over as well.
It was mainly just awful though, won't bother again. Must record more stuff to watch before 9pm.

Jux · 23/04/2012 09:22

When I was a child I used to almost fancy sweaty man's daddy; I remember the band fairly well. I think I may have their single somewhere Blush

Acekicker · 23/04/2012 13:30

Have just done another iPlayer catch up, scrolling this for the 'real-time' effect Grin.

I kept waiting for 'The Voice, brought to you by Per Una in conjunction with Bravissimo' to come on at the end/between acts - what the hell was it with the nasty nasty wrap dresses.

I was desperately hoping Pixie, Trixie and Stroppy would all get told to go home but no such luck. It was way too long a show and the editing made no sense some screechers got forever and others were mercifully brief!

IKilledIgglePiggle · 23/04/2012 14:26

The mother prefix was doing my head in. Why is that important and why is anyone over 30 past it, if that's the cases then have an age limit.

Tom Jones needs a rocket up his arse, could he look like he could care less.

This post was brought to you by mother of three, Iggle Piggle, argggggggggg.

HarrietJ0nes · 23/04/2012 14:33

It took away the thing of not seeing the singer last week if they get rid of the old ones

Jux · 23/04/2012 15:05

I have memories of my brothers and I harmonising on Obladi Oblada, and thinking we were terribly rude because we always made it Oh bloody .... Small children are amused by such things Grin

cocolepew · 23/04/2012 17:33

Red haired one has been on Twitter moaning that she wasn't picked because she was too old.

Acekicker · 23/04/2012 18:07

What the SwanVestasVirgin? She was only 27 wasn't she, some of the others who've gone through were that age or into their 30s...

Although I'm off to stare at myself in the mirror - JOS couple are 34 Shock. They are 4 years younger than me - I thought they were in their 40s at least!

cocolepew · 23/04/2012 19:45

I noticed underneath the hair jos man did look younger than I first thought.

noddyholder · 23/04/2012 19:46

I don't like the old ones They seem desperate and I am old

wildstrawberryplace · 24/04/2012 12:04

I thought Jay was crap: whiney, nasal, reedy voice and weird enunciation, generally unpleasant to listen to. I just watched some of his videos on you tube and there are millions of comments about how amazing he is, and then Will is supposed to have signed him already and was going on about how he is better then Justin Timberlake? I mean to me JT is no great singer but at least he has the likeability factor or doesn't look inherently creepy

teejwood · 24/04/2012 14:00

i missed most of saturday's ep so have been catching up on iplayer/youtube in fits and starts.

i noticed that on the bbc channel on youtube, you can compare how many hits each of the artists/battle duos is getting by just scrolling down the list. of course, people might view the same video from another source, so in total an artist may have more hits overall - but it's interesting to see where the public's eyeballs are going...linky

quite shocked by the views for the pixie/trixie/pouty bout - not sure whether that reflects the popularity of the artists or the public's desire to watch the ensuing car crash Grin
