Think it may go one of two ways... watching with interest... anyone else?

Well of course it's bloody edited. It's a TV programme.

Grockle · 19/04/2012 21:38

Thank you Smile

I wonder if anyone explained to LT about autism? It's odd watching him force social interaction on people who clearly are uncomfortable and not wanting it. And then following Brian to continue. I know it is for the camera but it seems a bit disrespectful.

DollyTwat · 19/04/2012 21:38

I have nO experience of autism at all
Whilst I appreciate this is edited for shock value, I take my hat off to you guys dealing with this every day.

lisad123 · 19/04/2012 21:38

I have one aggressive one and one who wouldn't hurt anyone.
Brian, wonder if he has pikka

FrillyMilly · 19/04/2012 21:40

I like Louis' methods for dealing with the children - Peppa Pig and dominoes!!

I'm not sure if I missed a bit but is Brian's eating to do with his autism?

festi · 19/04/2012 21:41

I like brian, he is very expolrative I would enjoy spending some time just hanging out with brian and seeing what he really enjoys out of life.

Grockle - I think his naive interaction with those in the programme is honest as many many people have no idea how to interact with autistic children or adults.

Grockle · 19/04/2012 21:42

Lots of people with autism have issues with eating - might be eating only 1 or 2 things or eating non-food items - I have several who won't eat fruit (it makes them gag to even look at it) but will happily eat handfuls of sand and mud. And some who would just eat anything and everything all day long.

ggirl · 19/04/2012 21:42

I'll 2nd that dollytwat
I am in awe of you parents of autistic children.

lisad123 · 19/04/2012 21:42

That mum picked him up, spends days with him, drives him back to sleep and then picks him up next days. I would have to keep him home but hats off to her. He burned down the house at 8!!

Grockle · 19/04/2012 21:43

Yes, faraway. I loved the little girl at the start who completely ignored him and his baffled face as she walked straight past him!

lisad123 · 19/04/2012 21:44

Mine spent weeks staving herself because she won't eat hot food at lunch time. Still won't. Sad she goes though either not eating at all or binge eating. Sad

the eating could be for such a variety of reasons may be related pika, stimuli, comfort ocd, distortion in a natural full up signal, increased appetite is not unusual in children and adults with autism may be for a variety of reasons.

lisad123 · 19/04/2012 21:45

Cool school

FrillyMilly · 19/04/2012 21:53

My DD sings jingle bells all the time too! She keeps requesting it during sing time at pre school.

That school looks so good.

OddBoots · 19/04/2012 21:55

I love Bradley. :)
