Ive just watched this prgramme about young adults with learning difficulties on i player and more or less cried the whole way through. Rosa Monckton and the other parents are amazing. My Wilf is soon going to be following the same path and it really opened my eyes!

I just watched it.

It's a bloody crime that the financial provisions aren't available.

When it was mentioned that some parents had said that they hope their children die before them so they don't have to worry about what will become of them, it just floored me. How desperate must you feel to think that?

And don't get me started on the ignorant and utter shits who harassed the guy with Downs Syndrome who was living independently. What the fuck is wrong with people?

I have watched a programme with Rosa and Domenica in before, and I really like the approach the programmes take.

Isnt it interesting that we are all from the bereaved mums thread?? I have had an email from Rosa this afternoon. I have been in touch with her since her first documentary. She was on her way to Chickenshed to watch Domenica when she emailed me!!

I saw this last night and it was so thought-provoking. I admit to tears at the young man who was harassed by his neighbours and ended up back with his mother.
