rickman - I did say that she might be desperately unhappy and not talking about it to camera, but she doesn't seem desperately unhappy, she just seems to want better, grass is greener, and all that.

mistressmiggins · 31/01/2006 22:10

I guess you're right about making the daughter go but to be honest, Rupertthewanker doesnt exactly seem bothered - when it was suggested he fly to ENgland & bring her back, he looked most put out

rupertthewanker · 31/01/2006 22:10

cos i think oyu ahev to try to maintaint he relation ship i ssupose

Feistybird · 31/01/2006 22:11

Rupert on the other hand deserved to be blue-bricked.

alexsmum · 31/01/2006 22:11

well, i've just told dh he pretty much has carte blanche to do whatever he wants now-he's never getting rid of me..i could not put my kids through that.

rupertthewanker · 31/01/2006 22:12

lol read blue bricked as "HEEL" PRICKED

Feistybird · 31/01/2006 22:13

No agree that DD should go - that way she can discover for herself what a total wanker he is.

koalabear · 31/01/2006 22:13

ahem ... ummm .... does anyone not think that subjecting children to national television coverage of your parentsfighting is a good thing? these children have to go to school, play with friends, live for the rest of their lives, with the fact that their most personal lives are being splashed across the tele

is it just me, or does anyone else think this is the worst sort of parenting to allow this to happen? (not to mention the television station for producing it)

rupertthewanker · 31/01/2006 22:14

and thus save herself about 10 years of lookign fro a fatehr figure in unsatisfactory adult realtions hips

one night stands and the walk of shame
liked her lot - think the " ilve lost her to a hrose" line had been used a LOT

and to stutter so spectacularly over the dob's of your kids - and AND think it's funny ffs, he really got my goat.

Never a shotgun to hand when you need one...

Feistybird · 31/01/2006 22:18

Rickman don't defend yourself, Tara's situation had as many defenders as supporters.

LadySherlockofLGJ · 31/01/2006 22:19

Rickman..............

I may be wrong, but I am willing to bet, that your relationship. was not quite so laaaaaaaaaaiiid back re the split.

I cannot see Mr Tara, manipulating his figures to the CSA, in order to deprive his children.

Feistybird · 31/01/2006 22:20

I meant, as many supporters as dissenters

Turquoise · 31/01/2006 22:21

Rickman - I was feeling uncomfortable watching Tara thinking was I as bad as that. I think any mother who took the initiative in the actual separation would feel the same - but you know why you made your decision and I'm betting it was no more selfish than mine was.

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 31/01/2006 22:21

as someone whose parents divorced I would absolutely NOT force a child to get on a plane to a foreign country to see an absent father and his trophy girlfriend against their will. Like the American women said Rupert should have gone to get her; should have provided her with evidence that he gave a shit. You can't force kids into something like that - it would just have made things worse

I found it very hard to have any sympathy with Tara as she seemed very cold and emotionless about the whole situation but no one knows what happens behind closed doors in a relationship so there could be a lot more to why she came to this decision. As for Rupert...hanging is too good for him - how did he manage to produce 2 such gorgeous children?? What a tosser!

What did you think of the American counsellor?

rupertthewanker · 31/01/2006 22:24

fio are oyu fio2?

emkana · 31/01/2006 22:24

I COULD NOT believe it when Rupert was going on about the "inconvenience" of having to hire a car and stay in a hotel if he flew over to see his children. FFS!!!!!!!!! Yeah, but your son can fly all on his own every three weeks at just seven years of age, that's "cool"

!!!!!!!!!!!1
