I think there was a thread on this a while ago but can't find it, sorry.

33 weeks and BORED plus going to try BF twins so need plenty for the old DVD player!

Am just about to finish season 3 of the West Wing, so got that (and love it, PLEASE can he be our PM). Thinking about 24 and also Mildred Pierce.

Have devoured the whole of Spooks. Bloomin' brilliant. Loved Ashes to Ashes too.

Any other reccs?

Is there a Spoiks boxset?

Bones, but skip episodes about babies/children.
BSG definitely

I got through Charmed when pregnant!

Sleeper Cell looks good

limitedperiodonly · 17/02/2012 17:15

fraktal I like the idea of a series called Spoiks. It could be about Russian spymasters getting mixed up about the English class system and instead of recruiting dazzling young men from Cambridge choosing comprehensive school pupils instead.

brighthair · 18/02/2012 01:42

Grey's anatomy is fabulous, my friend watched 4 seasons whilst waiting to/being induced Grin
Ghost whisperer
Buffy
SATC
Bones

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 18/02/2012 01:47

Dexter
Carnivale
Prison Break
The Mentalist
American Gothic
Mad Men
Oz
The Killing (Danish version)

RnB · 18/02/2012 07:53

I agree about Breaking Bad. it is the best tv series I've ever seen.
The first series of Lie To Me
The first 2 series of Fringe
Mildred Pierce was good

RnB · 18/02/2012 07:54

And of course Mad men is fabulous

Yama · 18/02/2012 08:02

Yes to:

Breaking Bad
The Wire
The rest of The West Wing
The Shield

I also love:
Rome
Battlestar Gallactica
30 Rock (comedy)

Clayhead · 19/02/2012 21:52

TWW
Big Love
Deadwood (tragedy there weren't more series)
The Wire
The Good Wife
30 Rock
Mad Men
Boardwalk Empire
Damages (gets a bit silly at times but entertaining)
Sopranos
Six Feet Under
Studio Sixty on the Sunset Strip
Underbelly

Personally, I found Mildred Pierce boring and annoying 9kept watching for Guy Pierce though Wink)

GColdtimer · 19/02/2012 22:22

Cant't belive nobody has mentioned criminal minds. It'd brilliant. And u's second medium and first series of lie to me.

MiaWallace · 20/02/2012 14:01

Another vote for The Wire

Game of thrones is brilliant. DH had them all recorded on Sky+ and kept insisting I watch them. I kept refusing because I didn't think it would be something I'd enjoy. I finally relented and watched the first episode and ended up watching the rest of the season within 2 days.

PfftTheMagicDraco · 20/02/2012 14:43

The Good Wife is good.
Homeland is excellent, and new, so you can easily catch up.

BrigitBigKnickers · 22/02/2012 16:06

[H]ouse
Misfits (sooo funny)
Greys Anatomy
Breaking Bad (seriously, seriously fab!)
The Mentalist
Shameless
