Anyone finding this relationship between Mrs Tenby and her lodger a bit creepy?
The lodger pursuing her I mean? I think she should kick him out!

Thank you zukie , I can cope with that .

Cherry is a dick isn't she ?

Sparklingbrook · 10/02/2012 14:11

No patients again in today's. Isn't Mrs Tembe invited on the hen do?

Sparklingbrook · 10/02/2012 14:13

I have no idea what the man and the cling film have to do with anything.

blondiep14 · 10/02/2012 14:15

I think Mrs Tembe would have declined.
Probably best, can't imagine her in all that pink! And not sure how she'd have reacted to Freya snogging Cherry's mate.

Surely someone would have put Zara in a cab or gone after her??

Sparklingbrook · 10/02/2012 14:16

The weird thing about Doctors is that I don't like any of the characters. They are all really annoying. Grin

Goodness, when was the last time they treated any patients? Confused

Sparklingbrook · 10/02/2012 14:28

Every storyline is either over in one episode (like Scooby Doo) or drags on and on for about 47. Sad

MrsDeeBee · 10/02/2012 15:17

Agree that Cherry was horrible today, clearly she can't handle her drink.

Read in TV book that Zara and Daniel's son arrives next week, ahhhhhh ! I am sure that all will be well. It would be too cruel for it not to be.

I am sure I get far too into the storylines....Smile

Agree was a nice wedding, zukiecat. Smile

Altogether now, Ahhhhhhhh ! Baby Joe is here. I think they got the news just as the episode ended that he is OK so far.

Brings back memories....

I know Freya IRL [boasts] She is ace!

MrsDeeBee · 14/02/2012 21:43

zukie

That is appalling. Shock

My not-so-little premmie No. 1, who will be 13 this year, often asks us to relay his 'story', and how we used to ring the hospital in the morning to see what sort of night he had had, to be told "Yeah, he's OK, stopped breathing several times but he's come through it", and just taking it as the norm ! I can remember being so terrified seeing and hearing all the bleeping machines, and learning which ones to take notice of, and which to ignore...

I was rushed to London to have him, (blue lights and everything down the motorway, I had Wink so I didn't have the option of staying with him.

Oh, and then the move to an incubator, which meant he was a 'big boy', and half way to coming home ! Smile

Tarty

That is boasting ! Do me a favour, will you ? Tell 'er to steer clear of the nutty bridesmaid ! Grin

It's lovely to hear that premmies grow up ! I think it must be so scary to have one nowadays, even 13 years ago there wasn't the info available that there is now via the internet etc....so many horror stories too, when it isn't always the nightmare people describe.

Mine has no lasting problems either, although one paediatrician did tell us that he would "probably be short" ?! He's not, he will probably end up being a 6 footer !

We lived in Herts when I had him, and had a fit in a supermarket, which was the first sign something was wrong. Blue-lighted to Hammersmith Hospital, where we were told it was touch and go for both of us. I was so ill that my organs had started to shut down. He was there for a month, then transferred to a local hospital, then from there rushed to GOSH for a life-saving op. He came home at 4 months. There was never any question he wasn't going to make it though. Like with the breathing thing, we never worried and considered that he wouldn't make it, I think we just assumed he would, as the consultants never sat us down and had 'the chat', at any time ! I'm sure that if I had one now, I would be googling everything and be terrified !

Dodgy Doctors today, what on earth is silly Heston doing getting back with Marina ? Zara makes me smile, poor Daniel can't do anything right, I loved that quip when she said she had to do her 'milking' and he replied "Glad to see you are in touch with your inner cow"...Grin

lifesalongsong · 15/02/2012 15:03

Another recorder and batch watcher here. I got into it whilst on ML and have continued to watch although I really don't know why as I don't particularly like any of the characters.

A few months ago I was lost driving on the outskirts of Birmingham and nearly crashed the car as I drove past The Mill, you can see the TV lights and the sign from the road. I was so excited but haven't told anyone in RL as I dont want to appear to be too much of a saddo Grin

Oh bless you zukie !

DS1 stopped growing at 25 weeks, and was born at 30, weighing 650g, or 1lb 7oz, which ever you prefer. Hammersmith were mighty cross that no-one had picked up that I was so poorly earlier, the fit I had was the indicator that things really were not well with baby, and the pre-cursor to everything shutting down for me. I had him 3 days after I was taken to Hammersmith, had steriods to help him for a couple of days first. Had emerg. c-section, and as he was born, he gave a little bleat, like a little lamb.Smile His name means "brave warrior", ironically. Not intentional either, we had just always loved the name and 'knew' he would be a boy !

I can remember people being very concerned but because the SCBU staff were always so matter of fact, and down to earth, I think it grounded me too. And nothing was 'wrong' to me, he was my first-born, so I was just doing what I was advised and getting on with it, I suppose ! I didn't know any different !

He was born just gone 2pm and they sent photos down, I was taken to see him later that evening, and he was in the 'serious' bit of SCBU, in an open unit, with tubes everywhere, and with big bubble wrap on to keep him warm !

I think I only sort of 'realised' how 'serious' things were when I had DS2 and subesquently DD. DS2 was stillborn, hardest thing I have ever done, and DD was a premmie but came on her own at 38 weeks, so not as bad ! She spent a week in SCBU, and it was then I think that I sort of stopped and thought how different things were, having one and coming home 'normally' and sort of 'normal sized' !

I wouldn't change any of it though. It's all part of who they are, and has shaped the person that I am. Smile
