this is a nightmare

onadietcokebreak · 30/01/2012 21:36

Without consent- straight to court.

Davros · 30/01/2012 21:36

Parents clearly have SNs, esp Dad. Child probably has some form of SN and the professionals need to stop putting off dealing with that by being sidetracked by their "parenting" and using that as the excuse for child's behaviour

StitchingMoss · 30/01/2012 21:36

This isn't going to do anything for social work recruitment Sad.

charity2 · 30/01/2012 21:36

This will end up as a typical case of when something goes seriously wrong the social workers will be blamed for being to lenient. I feel for the social workers, but if they dont act soon it could be too late.

Jesus this is like going back 8 years and watching DS's birth mum fuck up with social services whilst I had to watch her.

She just couldnt see what she was doing.

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 30/01/2012 21:37

of my lord.

festi · 30/01/2012 21:38

charlotte the solutions are being used now due to a change in circumastances. He cant manage on his own now with mum in hospital. They need to take it to court.

ImperialBlether · 30/01/2012 21:38

Did the blonde social worker say to the junior one "You've been quite unhelpful"?

Charlotteperkins · 30/01/2012 21:38

Court action is so expensive that surely the 24/7 community option suggested above would be cheaper in the long run?

Who did she call unhelpful. The dad? Or the other sw?

MollieO · 30/01/2012 21:38

Really surprised they can't get a court hearing in the evening.

HarriettJones · 30/01/2012 21:38

Lack of parenting in the first place is a big deal. I work with people who didn't get played with & don't know how to. Or the bloke who never got hugged so had to learn to hug his son. Or the people who don't know not to prop a bottle in the babies mouth cos that's what Grandma did with the baby brother.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 30/01/2012 21:39

Yep

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 30/01/2012 21:39

shoes on wrong feet surely is not worth mentionign!!!

RitaMorgan · 30/01/2012 21:39

So there is at least a part time nursery place then.

LineRunner · 30/01/2012 21:39

At this level of need, someone else is always going to be effectively raising the child.

8oreighty · 30/01/2012 21:39

Hurry up for gods sake. Get him out of there. Why does tiffany not show emotion?

bunnyspoiler · 30/01/2012 21:40

Too much time wasted attempting to turn things around. This type of situation is never retrievable in my experience. Only damaging for all involved, especially the child. They keep trying and meantime the child gets older and more damaged and chances of being adopted become zero.

RitaMorgan · 30/01/2012 21:41

Shoes on wrong feet on it's own wouldn't be an issue, but as a part of the picture of the dad not coping with sole care, and something that has changed now the mum isn't there.

ImperialBlether · 30/01/2012 21:41

She looks both lazy and defeated.

StitchingMoss · 30/01/2012 21:41

agree bunny - how will they find an adoption placement for this poor lad Sad.
