usually though, they make a point of saying they're only judging them on the skate-off performance, but I dont think they did tonight. Much as I've not liked Corey, he did skate better than Charlene in the skate-off.

I agree. Charlene made a mess of the skateoff and only Robin judged them farly.

Awwwww I wanted Corey to go through because I read about his accusations of being abused in Hollywood during his awesome 80's films/child star days. I have no inclination on whether the accusations are true or not, but he has an air of vulnerability about him which made me root for him regardless of skating ability.

OTOH, Charlene lost her fiance last year, which also made me root for her.

Must focus on the skating, not their personal lives!

It does seem like DOI has lost a bit of magic this year. I can't exactly put my finger on what it is. But I love, love, love Jorgie - she's so gorgeous to look at and she's so funny, like a hyper cartoon character. And Emmerdale guy is great - though I kinda feel like his back gave him the sympathy vote.

The consistent weekly debate in the Bat household is: what's harder - to be a male amateur lifting your pro partner, or to be a female amateur being lifted up at terrifying speeds?

We have the same discussion Bat and always conclude it's harder for the male celebs as the professional men are really confident on ice, know the lifts and how to correctly hold their partners - don't think it's easy for the female celebs but much harder for the boys. Loving Matthew and Jorgie both making it look effortless.
