Skins - is it suitable for a 13 year old

She asked me to say she's "advanced"... not sure I want to admit to that, not even sure I know what that means!!... She says other girls at school watch it but I've never seen it. Anyone seen it? Would you let your 13 year old dd watch it? (btw she asked me to ask you :) so she must be smart

I asked this the other day on the teenagers board. Personally I would let her, although it's very late so maybe on 4od (it's on there already). Mine have watched it since they were about 13 (with older brother) and at that age they knew it wasn't true to life so I didn't see a problem with it. However apparently this episode has some bloody bits so that's something to watch out for!

There's a fair bit of sex and drugs in there, depends how sheltered a life a 13yr old has had I reckon.

My 15yr old thinks she is far too sophisticated for Skins now. Mind you, her life was like an episode for about a year (living hell for us) and is only just starting to calm down a little now

yes of course, should have looked on teenagers. Definitely not staying up to watch it will record it and maybe watch it with her
