What the bloody hell is this sarky voiceover in Waybuloo about?

It sounds like the new man at Big Barn Farm: very brisk and a little bit sarky, so it's quite an amusing addition (Grin), but just a bit bizarre, in the saccharine world of Nara!

Also, I'm sure I've seen this banana-stealing episode, without the voiceovers!

It was bonkers! Amusing last night, will definitely drive me even more insane than Waybuloo did before. I was hoping Driver Dan was being squeezed in by shortening Night Garden.

Can't believe it is really CDWM voiceover - said that as a joke to DH Shock

Honeydragon · 10/01/2012 09:12

Driver Dan is a bit of a cunt. Why not shorten that?

Hello children, driver Dan is here to condescend his friends and you. Oh look now he's fucked off

ChunkyPickle · 10/01/2012 09:12

I think the ferment the bongle-berries anyhow - or am I reading too much into the bubbles coming out of the juicing machine?

Honeydragon · 10/01/2012 09:14

Juicing machine aka still Wink

nomoremagnolia · 10/01/2012 18:08

The beeb have gone back on their decision to use new format. Back to normal hurrah!

TheSkiingGardener · 10/01/2012 18:25

That's a quick turn around!

LaTristesse · 10/01/2012 19:18

Result! Do you think they might reconsider the Zingzillas change next?

GothAnneGeddes · 11/01/2012 05:11

What happened with the Zingzillas? Surely it couldn't possibly be any worse, pissing on a turd comes to mind.

Also can't believe people are defending Waybuloo. I wish they'd put Abney and Teal on a bit later, that's very soothing.

Biscuitsandtea · 11/01/2012 07:40

Oh, I feel like I've missed out on something now that they've done away with it. I feel I've missed an opportunity to be outraged Grin.

But how could Waybuloo possibly need explanation? DS normally keeps up a constant stream of 'who's that, where have they gone, what happened....' throughout almost anything he watches except Waybuloo. So if even he can follow it, I'm not sure it needs any narration.

But I am sad that I've missed out on lines like 'get ready to be painted banana' or whatever it was Smile

nomoremagnolia · 11/01/2012 09:56

biscuits Monday's voice over episode is still on iplayer :)

Biscuitsandtea · 11/01/2012 10:40

Ah good - I must watch it - for research purposes of course you understand WinkHmm

angelpuss · 11/01/2012 12:38

Missed it on Monday night and came down when DS was in his bath (DH was there - I didn't leave him on his own Smile)to see what it was like...and wondered if they'd changed it back already!

Now all they need to do is change the goodnight song at the end back to how it was and DS will be a happy bunny Smile

MorrisZapp · 11/01/2012 13:31

Wow - DP and I wondered if we were hallucinating! Glad I found this thread :)

We both thought it was the Come Dine bloke - v sarky and totally out of keeping with Waybuloo.

We actually wondered if the prog makers had done it for a laugh and aired it by accident!

I don't mind what they do to Waybuloo, but the changes to Zingzillas are appalling, and if they DARE TOUCH In the Night Garden I will take to the streets in protest.

You don't mess with a formula that woks.

Biscuitsandtea · 11/01/2012 13:32

What's happened to Zingzillas?

LaTristesse · 11/01/2012 14:46

Zingzillas got cut to about 10 mins - the coconuts practically fly outta that clock! They've got some kiddies in to jump about, they have a silly new pre-Zing ritual... it's just more rushed. The tunes are still good but the format stinks.

Biscuitsandtea · 11/01/2012 14:48

Ah that explains then why I walked past the TV the other day as Coconut No 3 went down and then 2 seconds later they were doing their big song thing - I thought I'd perhaps fallen asleep for a few minutes Hmm
