oh yes, predictable but wonderful none the less.

Aah..was really scared it was going to be miserable when Colin nutted him but very pleased it turned out well (and even the miserable Dad managed to raise a smile!). Xmas Smile

Loved the mince pie dance. They do tragi-comedy so well.

Anyone know if this episode will be repeated? Was encouraging a relly to watch it but she can't cope with iplayer (and was caught out by it being on two days earlier than expected)

Just glorious.

I have been berated by two Nigel types about it STILL BEING ADVENT UNTIL CHRISTMAS DAY recently...
And loved the first episode where they kept talking about retreats as being on holiday. So many good insider church jokes - makes a pleasant change for the church to be depicted as full of real human beings (even though ramped up for comic effect)

Loved it. Though being married to a Rev means at times it's a bit too close to home sometimes; for example, that episode where Alex leaves him for a weekend to go rambling and have a think, and meanwhile Adoa comes over and cooks him delicious meals? Yup, that's pretty much what happens any time I go away. I come home, and the house is full of empty casserole dishes. Now, if he goes away, leaving me with two small children and a full time job....funnily enough, no casseroles appear....Xmas Hmm

I think the Archdeacon is my favourite character though. I love him.

Dh and I have enjoyed Rev alot. It is so well written that we have to pause it, becasue we can not keep up with the speed, and you miss all the wit, the referencers, underlying innuendo's, unless you are really concentrating. fab.

lazarusinNazareth · 22/12/2011 12:48

I love the way the Archdeacon suddenly came across as a human being when he came clean about his lover thereby foregoing his Bishopship (not a real word I know!).
I warmed to him after that.
