I know there is another thread and have posted on it and been ignored, probably as I am a strictly novice and have only just started watching it this series, I can't be the only one who is new. please come talk to me .

ok so the dancer who stood in for Arton(can't think of his name) is he always showing off? he seems to do it a lot.

OP posts:
CaveMum · 20/11/2011 21:34

Brendan? Yes he does! He is one of the best dancers on the show though and has mellowed a lot since the show first started. He, Anton (danced with Nancy) and Erin (danced with Rory) are the only pros left who have danced in every series.

ScatterChasse · 20/11/2011 21:42

Brendan won the first series, but Anton and Erin (they're a pro couple, don't know if you know that) have never won.

No pro has won twice yet, but Artem or Ola could possibly do it this year. Brendan's the only other pro winner still around.

Sevenfold · 20/11/2011 21:58

I like him as he seems good and funny.(not sexy though)
some of the girl dancers are just amazing,

ScatterChasse · 20/11/2011 22:10

Erin (with Rory) is my favourite I think, she's so elegant and lovely, but then I prefer the ballroom to the Latin. I think Flavia's great too.

We haven't had any really good partner pro dances this series, hang on and I'll find one for you Smile.

ScatterChasse · 20/11/2011 22:13

Ok, these are from a couple of series ago, so you won't recognise all the pros, but they're wonderful.

Anton and Erin are there, so are Vincent and Flavia and James and Ola. Brendan's there too, and I think Katya and Kristina are in one, but Katya was blonde then.

Sevenfold · 20/11/2011 22:15

thanks I will watch that when dh is at work, he is not that keen lol

Another vote for ITT (and do try Zoa - whoever said they hated her - she is doing great on the show). And especially Tuesday for Karen and Wednesday for Ian. Real pros properly explaining what's going on, why things work (or don't) and what to look for. Adds a whole 'nother level to the show.

ScatterChasse · 20/11/2011 22:22

He'll get sucked in... My DDad, despite protesting it was rubbish is now well and truly hooked "That was a bit undermarked wasn't it? I saw some nice hip action in there."

You become an expert quite quickly Wink

WhatsWrongWithYou · 20/11/2011 22:29

I'll join in here if I may. I usually spout some drivel make the odd post on the other thread, but was away this weekend. In fact, haven't seen the results show yet.

I did notice that comment someone mentioned on the other thread, the one where Len said someone had a 'nasty way' about them. The moment was gone by the time I read it, but people seemed to think it was aimed at Aliona, whereas I assumed it was Craig. Whatever had she done to merit such bile?!

I don't like her myself, but that seems a very unprofessional comment to make on live tv - especially since one assumes Len must have had some part in her selection.

And if I see her do that 'legs apart, hair-swishing backwards bend' one more time I'll scream.

Sevenfold · 20/11/2011 22:30

I really Like Len

OP posts:
ScatterChasse · 20/11/2011 22:35

I would guess it's because she said she never listens to them, and rolls her eyes etc. if they criticise her.

The thing is, they are trying to help her!

KurriKurri · 20/11/2011 22:38

What did people think about Wembley as a venue? It all felt a bit too big for me, and led to too much running around trying to cover the stage, so there seemed to be less actual dancing.

I used to love it when they went to Blackpool though.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 20/11/2011 22:40

That's true, she does make it obvious she couldn't care less what the judges say. A bit of grace in the face of criticism wouldn't go amiss.

But then Len should be experienced enough to tell her what's what without resorting to personal jibes and losing any moral high ground he has.

Oh, I take this all too seriously! Grin

ScatterChasse · 20/11/2011 22:40

Yep I agree, lost all the intimacy it usually has. I think they're in Blackpool for the final this year, which should be good.

KurriKurri · 20/11/2011 22:42

Ooh thats good Scatterchase, I assumed Wembley must have replaced Blackpool.

Sevenfold · 20/11/2011 22:50

I didn't like wembley, too big and I wish the crowd would not clap along

OP posts:
noddyholder · 21/11/2011 00:02

I didn,t like wembley either. I am so hooked on it I didn, teven like when Len had a week off and Jennifer thingumy replaced him. Back to normal next week! luckily dp and ds like it too

iklboo · 21/11/2011 00:54

Blackpool Tower is up her wazoo in scaffolding/refit at the mo. It would be great if the final was there though.

AmIthatbad · 21/11/2011 22:22

I'm another one who didn't really think Wembley worked. People that were there said it was amazing, but for the TV viewer, then not so good.

ScatterChasse, I've always loved Erin too, and she was great on ITT last year, when she had the squiggly marker thing. Totally mad as a hatter.

And Brendan used to be the real bad boy, but he has been a lot tamer (and IMHO nicer) this series.

Not a fan of either of the Jordans though. Ola makes funny "grr" faces when she dances, and JJ loves himself, and his accent grates on me - he never pronounces his "ings".

I loved Ian Waite, and I loved Matthew Cutler. (They are the two tall blokes in ScatterChasse's second link. )

And Sevenfoldmy standout dances, if you can look on youtube were Erin and Colin Jackson's American Smooth, Karen Hardy and Mark Ramprakash's Argentine Tango - and the lovely Matt Baker's Tango from last year, with Aliona.

And did I mention that I love Pasha Grin

Sevenfold · 26/11/2011 21:35

just watched this weeks, wow Harry is good.
I like Robbie but wish he wouldn't do all that "sexy" stuff

OP posts:
Finallygotaroundtoit · 27/11/2011 09:32

Scatter, James is indeed getting a bit too cocky.

Did you see him rugby tackle someone behind Tess's back whilst she was doing her post dance thang? He was dressed in black and at first I thought it was a stage hand dealing with an emergency Confused

ScatterChasse · 27/11/2011 12:24

And them lifting up Vincent at the back too? I can't concentrate on Tess any more, I watch them all mucking about behind her!

Jill and Darren's jive in the final (first ever perfect score) is fantastic to watch.

Some of the Christmas dances are lovely, but it's a bit early yet, I'll tell you my favourites of those in a week or two!

AmIthatbad · 27/11/2011 16:13

Sevenfold Robbie was never my favourite, and see my comments above about Ola, but in my opinion he has just got boring. Same old, same old. Last night, when he whipped off his trousers, even my DD said "oh that's awful" Grin.

Finally I thought it was production crew as well!! Typical Jordan though, "look at me". I wouldn't be sorry if him and his wife weren't back next year.

Plus points - Craig's smile, Harry in a suit, Pasha in a suit, Harry's wonderful dancing, Chelsee telling Pasha she didn't think he was hot....but that she was the only girl that didn't think so, so that was some consolation - I laughed at that comment.

And we have Claudia to look forward to tonight

Sevenfold · 27/11/2011 21:16

sad that anita went out, but wasn't surprised.
