Apologies if it is bad form to start another Downton thread, but I don't want to interrup the other thread with my basic questions...
I am just watching it for the first time since people keep on telling me I must, it is amazing, etc... so. If anyone is watching it on ITV right now, and has time to spare, could you please try to explain in a nutshell what is going on? Who is the girl who was dancing with the guy in the hall, and he kissed her? Who is he? and Who was the girl who interrupted them? Why do loads of them seem to be ill? Who is getting married? 
is it worth trying to get in to it now!
