Just curious, which telly d has actually made you want to buy the product, not a good ad for a product you wanted anyway, but one that actually made you want to part with cash? Just curious.

Levi 501s in the 80's.

M&S choc puds.

I tend to crave more from my target group magazines or programmes

It's not adverts that make me want to buy things - it's Mumsnet!

Remember the Bounty ads, with that ridiculously beautiful girl sitting on a window seat with the waves crashing gently outside her window? I bought Bounties for YEARS after that (and have the thighs to prove it!)

Wow, the choc pud, I wanted to buy it but we don''t have an M and S near us!

We used to buy my dad whatever shite aftershave was advertised at Christmad for his stocking...Brut, Old Spice, Tabac, Mandate, Denim. Normally in abox set with soap on a rope.

But we were impressionable younglings....

I bought that perfume "Rebel" because of the ad.

Oven pride. Really is flippin marvellous stuff.

LordOfTheFlies · 14/11/2011 18:23

Oh I remember the Rebel advert. She had dark shaggy hair, and there was a special perm you could get to leave your hair 'bedhead'

I bought that perfume. And tried the hair. I just looked unwashed Grin

lordoftheflies I think we probably just smelt of a cats urinary tract....but totally pulled it off in lace fingerless gloves of course!

I remember buying my mum "KiKu" on the same reasoning too, and possibly "Charlie"....
